If you enjoy couch lock, go with 12/12

I use a 10:30/13:30 flower cycle because I enjoy uplifting Sat highs and even the land race indicas I've grown do not couch lock. Nope uplifting, energetic highs and once you learn this it opens up a whole new world of growing because it is very true that different light timings bring out different genetic expressions. Like pretty much everything I grow creeps as well which I enjoy 8)

If ya read DJ's book, he talks about experimenting with different light timings 15 min at a time till you find a sweet spot. All the book reviews bitch about the fact that he did not share his sweet spot in the book. I openly share mine but also point out that yours might be different.

Yields are only affected if you are a light dependent grower, if you are a grower that understands all the elements combined and properly tweaked is what makes the plant thrive then yields will be good. How do you think I grow 20 inch colas with T5's ???

There is so much more you can adjust and tweak to alter genetic expression, it becomes fun to see how you can alter the look, smell, taste, high of different strains. It is also why there is a difference in the same cut grown by two different growers.

and now the evil plug LOL All covered in my books 8)
Very interesting, I seem to have always gotten a couch lock, stoner type of high even if the strains I grew were sativa dom. To be honest I long for that energetic high. I'm actually around three weeks before harvest, so do you think I could switch to 11/13 without any negative consequences?

Yes you can

more ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Terpenes play a vital role in the plant kingdom; they deter insect predation, protect plants from environmental stresses, and act as building blocks for more complex molecules, such as cannabinoids. Many terpenes act synergistically with other varieties of terpenes, and some either catalyze or inhibit formation of different compounds within a plant. Understanding how terpenes function allows scientists to manipulate cannabinoids to desired ratios.

It gives several reasons why vocs are released and produced and even goes on to say

The biochemistry and molecular biology of the plant volatilome is vast and complex; it includes several biochemical pathways and thousands of genes. The plant volatilome has wide agricultural and industrial applications, from the search for sustainable methods for pest control to the valuable production of flavours, fragrances, and phytochemicals.

All methods for the analysis of plant volatiles attempt to identify the authentic profile of volatile blends emitted by a plant. However, the choice of which system to use in a particular experiment for collection and analysis of plant volatiles usually depends on the biological problem and plant material being investigated. Plants producing essential oils are usually distilled and the extracted oils analyzed by gas

So that doesn't say stress is the only factor to cause smell as you put it.

You cherry pick words to make what you say work. That first paragraph was just the functions of vocs. You have to read the whole study and not just use what fits your parameters

I'm done here .good day.

When you slap a plants or rinse off. That's the volatile terpenes you smell as they evaporate. Not the soluble and insoluble terpenes.

LMFAO, he tries this tactic all the time, but it NEVER works and he will just keep rambling on.

Not cherry pickin nothing, you're like a replublitard ignoring climate change lol

guess what there are scientist right now investigating the effects of climate change and how the stress affects plants and voc's

Wow what a surprise a three way butt fuck with the self proclaimed geniuses of RIU.

It's like one those games where comical people surrounded by balloons collide with each other.

These folks do it for amusement while you louts imagine that you are "scientific"

Your like a news outlet using a title of a study to hype up a point that the study doesn't even say.

MR. Ballsack to you son
please continue to show us what butthurt is. I mean, all I did was tell you the truth about led, sorry if it hurt your feelings little man.
god damn your idiocy is cringe worthy.

Chuck you're a clown, your asshat show is over. Either go away or delve into the "science of root boiling" you and rm could get a circle jerk going when the the 3 way butt fuck runs out of gas

Well aside from all that it does not change the well know fact that over a 100 folks have visited my grow from all over the world and reported that my garden is as stated, wide open and does not stink. Then there are the many growers that follow me that have applied my teachings and gotten the same results, their gardens stopped stinking

how bout you splain to them how I'm wrong
