spring hempy run

I'm starting a new run of hempy buckets. I am using 8 3 gallon trash cans with 2/3 perlite and 1/3 vermiculite. They are vegging under a 1k mh bulb that is set to 600 for now. Haven't fed yet, just watered them in. I'm growing 4 bear creek kush and 4 blue moonshine x goji. I will probably move some outside when they are a little bigger and try to do a scrog with maybe 4 of them. I've seen the bear creek kush growing and was amazed by the smell. Thanks @Dr.D81

One of the little kush seeds got bent and died. I'm replacing it with a Larry Bee. I made some rso from Afghani trim from my last 2liter grow.

Soak the plant matter in some iso and mash it up for a while.

Strain the liquid through a coffee filter into a couple jars so you can get done twice as fast.

Put the liquid into a double boiler on the electric stove.

The alcohol will boil out of the solution, leaving a dark oil in the pan.

Proper ventilation is a must. The alcohol fumes make it hard to breathe.

Here's the oil from less than an ounce of leaf and larf.

Suck it up and store it in the fridge for a mess free way to medicate. I've been smoking some on a screen in the bubbler. It's nice.

You can also scrape the remaining oil onto rolling papers to enhance a joint later

They've been alive for a week now. Not much happening yet. Nothing's hit the reservoir, so no growth explosion yet. The lerrybee never sprouted so i started soaking a couple ice seeds. I might start a super lemon haze for outdoors also.

Another week has gone by. I think the roots have hit the reservoir. There is a noticeable growth every morning.

3 weeks in now. The lerrybee didnt sprout so i started 2 gorilla glue #4 @Dr.D81 They both sprouted. I will move a bear creek kush, a blue moonshine, and a gorilla glue outside pretty soon.

Today is training day for some of the blue moonshine. I did lst one one, topped one, and fim on another.i left one alone that i will put outside when the rains stop.

Got back home last night after being gone a week. Here is the update. The plants have easily doubled in size. I tied down the lst plant again, retopped the topped plant, and supercropped all the rest. Looking like a jungle in there.

Im using general hydroponics flora series 3 part. During flower i usually just give the lucas ratio with the micro and bloom. For veg, using all three parts and the feeding schedule on the box. Yes the reservoir is at the bottom. I drill a hole two inches from the bottom and thats it. It simulates a water table in nature. When the roots hit the bottom look out, youll see explosive growth.

Awesome I'm doing the kiss method (just using GH Maxibloom) in a coco smart pot. Thinking of a coco Hempy run next time.

Moved a gorilla glue and a blue moonshine outside today. And the Hawaiian chili peppers went out too. Ill get the scorpion peppers repotted and moved outside soon.

Today is six weeks of veg on these plants. I switched the bulb and changed the timer. Its flower power time. I didn't mess with the scrog this time because of the huge growth spurt they had while i was gone. That was the time to start it. I also got some new one hitters from my buddy @Dr.D81

I came home after being gone 2 days and the plants are showing sex. I had two male blue moonshine and two female blue moonshine. I have two female bear creek kush and one male. The gorilla glue hasn't shown yet. My clones all have roots poking out the peat pellets so i planted them in hempys and put them outside. Im going to make some seeds by crossing the two different kinds.
