Where to buy COB fixture and from whom.

I have two Mars 144 LED fixtures and am now Interested in buying a quality COB fixture. After searching eBay and Amazon and seeing some of the bad reviews from customers on sellers I was wondering if anyone has had an experience buying a fixture from a user member or shop on eBay or Amazon and could recommend a person to buy from.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

IDK about Go green tho, same cobs, but what driver? and what is that driver's efficiency? And I hate hate hate their small resitrictive optics that barely cover the entire LES, its just laziness slapping good components like cree CXB behind something like that.

Keep an eye on Amare Technologies for their new offerings incl: cxb3590 (upgraded from 3070) as well as xp-g3 monos. and air cooled ducted options, cant say more than that.

- i used to know a @Phatlewtz, but he was a mmo video game economist, lol.

I have ruled many an economic empire in many a game...Star Wars Galaxies...I had to loan the empire money.....WoW I had to lend EVERYONE money...and everything in between...always had that hustle :) And for the record, it was probably me homie :D

ebay or Amazon is ok for standard off-the-shelf and common products which can be compared. I've yet to see a fully documented legit COB light offered through either. It's either Chinese knock off's which cannot be compared to any of the products above because they don't post specs or post ridiculous claims. Or, overpriced re-sales of products you can buy cheaper direct.

Not knocking e-Bay or Amazon, I buy through both. I just wouldn't buy a COB light there.

Hi @usernamereview,

Dan from Timber Grow Lights here - we do sell our DIY kits on eBay as well as our website - reason being we have found that some customers actually prefer to purchase through eBay for differing reasons.

That said - we do have to charge more for our kits on eBay due to the roughly 10% fee that eBay levies for selling on their platform. This is independent of the additional 2-4% for paypal fees, which we absorb as a cost of doing business and do not pass forward to the customer.

The kits are the same on our website and on eBay except for the price differential - and we really dislike charging more on eBay - however we have no alternative as trying to move customers from eBay to our website tends to upset the powers that be at eBay.....

My budget is like $350 and a little over but preferably something below that number. I was really hoping that I would have some luck with people whom have bought good quality COB's off eBay.

Like I said I have (2) Mars 144 LED fixtures for the operation. I'm looking to get like a 4x4 or 2x4 COB. This would be to either go in the flower room with one of the Mars fixtures or to stay in a grow tent outside closet for begging plants.

I've never grown. I have two spaces in a guest bedroom. The bedroom has a long closet ( 6.5 ft L, 2.5" W, 8.5 ft H) that has a window at the end. The main room is 9x10 where I plan right now to get a 4x4 tent or larger to veg plants in.
