Can't argue with that technique! I've been pretty happy with my re-build. Changing the system is very easy since that control bucket is isolated. I was changing the water today and was standing over the control bucket where it was dark and noticed a glow coming from the pvc pipe into the control bucket. I then realized the white pvc piping in the tent were acting like damn glow sticks. I decided to wrap them all up in some left over panda film. I should have known better. I've never had any major problems, but noticed if I did not stay on top of it I would get some growth in there. Hope this helps even more.
Last Thursday was day 35 for you, how much longer do you think you will go? I flushed with ro water the last 2 weeks starting at day 56 on that cherry gorilla. They didn't show any deficiencies for the first week at all. The second week they did their nitrogen purge pretty quick and were super ripe. I was only watching the trics, and perhaps it was coincidental, but everything 'ripened' at the same time. In the past I only did it for a couple days, but everything was always still super green at chop time and I can tell the difference. What is your rh there? How do you usually dry?
I'm going to have to do the same to my pipes. Tried finding insulating like armaflex, but nothing was in that size 1-3/8" OD pipe so i'd need 1-3/8" ID armaflex. Mine glow as well. But both my rooms are on the same schedule so it don't matter as far as light leaks
One GSCH is already turning pistils orange and receding in, buds are beginning to swell. Thinking 3 weeks at least for that one. Then the other still has white pistils, looks a little more sativa leaning given the thin fan leaf fingers. Id say that one has 4-5 weeks left.
Got a couple under the HPS that are a 2-3 weeks away. Just chopped the fruity chronic cookies #1 early because it was falling over it got way too lanky. Thinking of hashing the whole plant.
My harvests under the HPS were shit this round. Fruity Chronic COokies #2 looks good. Ca deficiency, but the buds are solid already, just not a lot of them.
My RH varies. Usually 45-70 in the summer. I just chop the plant and hang it upside down whole and pluck the big fan leaves off and hang dry for 2 weeks or so. Then I trim and jar and sometimes they still aren't ready so i'll let them air dry for a bit. I keep the drying area 60% RH.
I never get spectacular smelling or tasting buds. Its weird. I must be doing something wrong.
I don't flush at the end though. What difference do you find with flushing vs not flushing?
