As the pic names say, day 8 from seed. Any suggestions as to what's causing that yellowing on the first (seed) leaves? I know there are loadsa threads about deficencies, etc but my demanding little person won't give me breathing space so I don't have time to research. They're in biobizz light soil, no nutes (autoflowers), I'm watering a little amount every day, tap water that's been sitting out and I brought the ph down with a few drops of vinegar (in a 5L bottle). Cheers in advance!

Thanks. PH is approx 6.7, I have the indicator kit (drops in a vial). Any ideas as to what might have caused it though? I was thinking I might have overwatered but they're not droopy. Too early to be a N deficiency...

I'd guess ur watering em alot of its once a day,especially at this stage.tricks not to panic n try n resolve the issue by ticking off what it's not so I'd start by letting her dry out more so the roots don't get lazy or manky. If that doesn't help that extra .2 on the scales usually suggested for later on in flowering but the soil is a great buffer so as already stated let her dry out for a few days!

Yeah the new leaves seem fine so far but the pod leaves are getting more yellow. I raised the light a bit last night in case it is heat stress, this morning when I checked 1 plant was reaching toward the bulb, and the other had leaves wide open.
Will give it a few days before watering again, see what happens. Thanks for the advice folks!

Lower ur light get a fan they're stretching for the light in veg u want em squatting like a lady taking a pee in public. Definitely wait for it n regularly feel they weights of the pots eventually just by lifting em you can tell when you've to water em next...heck I can mix me nutes now if im in a rush with no ph pen n I get 6.6 each time lol still always text one bottle just to be sure but eventually this shit becomes second nature once u stay passionate you'll easily progress. Don't worry about the cotyledons they yellow quite quickly bust focus on new growth n post am update in few days so we can see if you've been watering 2 much of not.

Right, so I let the pots dry out quite a bit and then yesterday I gave both pots about 60-70mls of water only. I checked them this morning and both plants were stretching up toward the light again even though it's only an inch or so away from them.
In pic 1, you can see how close the plants are to the light, and you can see their second true leaves stretching toward the light, particularly the one on the right - any nearer and they'll be touching. They've been like this since early morning, no fanning out at all.
As we're mid our second week, I decided to add some nutes early afternoon - biobizz grow, approx 0.25mls mixed with 150mls water and given a good shake. I then fed this to both plants, both in spray and direct to soil.
In pic 2, check the plant on the left, there's signs of burn starting to develop on the first true leaf on the right. Pic 3 was taking approx 3 hours later, as you can see the discolouration is worse. Any ideas? Nute deficiency? If so I'm hoping the addition of grow today with resolve it.

Rookie mistake, I didn't flush the soil. I did give it a bit of a wash after a few days so there was a bit of run off, and I was adding approx 50mls of water each day up to Thursday. Every 2nd day since then.
I've raised the light already, I'll get a fan on them now. I have been giving them a shake and blowing on them on occasion to help strengthen them.

So next few feeds just water(no flush needed that's just added shock) and raise the light.I've done 15 clones under a 24w or so cfl.at that stage they need very little light but remember to lower it slowly.not 2 high either maybe 3-5 inches.remember slow n steady.takes the plant a while to adjust

So here they are this morning, I raised the light to about 3 inches above and they're still stretching up toward it. The only fan I have at present is a standard desk fan that doesn't fit inside the wardrobe so I have to leave the door open when it's on. What I did last night, and will continue to do is put the fan on rotate and let it hit the plants for about 10mins (lowest setting). I'll do this every few hours to help the stems build strength. I don't want to leave it too long as the pots felt quite cool to the touch after only 10mins with the fan, and I don't want to cause anymore stress to the plants
You can see the burn on pic 2 has spread a bit, could it be phosphorus deficiency? The camera isn't the best but you can see the discolouration is a brownish/red shade, it was a bit yellower yesterday. Growth is definitely stunted, I had hoped they'd be a bit bigger by now.
Btw ++rep to both you and busahoi, I do appreciate your help! The rep button seems to be gone since I last used it, 5+yrs ago... Unless I'm blind. That's a very distinct possibility too.

Just slow n steady,factor out all the possibilities n if it's not the water (biobizz light mix is weak so foliar feed some see weed for N n pk (tiny dose of pk shouldnt need pk till week 3+ of flowering )keep with veg nutes at a slightly higher dose.keep records of ur doses n progress from there.I can free pour n when I ph it's off by maybe .1-.2 from 6.5..all a matter of time,patience n experience. Just keep passionate n hand in there and I assure u shits gets sooooo simple.well all be here to support u we just need more specs on setup n all those variables to help us make a correct diagnosis

how ye boh,ys,waterford living in uk,just done my me birds first grow,incredible bulk strain under a 600 hps sunmaster light,little 7 euro fan,4 we veged for 10 weeks 10 weeks flower n 2 flush,just chopped 2 there we got 11.5 oz off the 2,i have 6 flowering from seed and we took off most of the fan leafs,no shit if you google ib stain you will see the buds i think he flowered them from seed on 12_12 coz there way dif from veg,trial and error people,my mother use to say,expect nothing because anything else is a bonus,we have pineapple chunk lavender white tooth blue dream and blueberry germinating in the press,big up the irish keep growing people
