Second grow isn't going to plan

Started my second grow, 9 seedlings under -60-60-40w CFL bulbs.

All 3 northern lights have popped and are looking healthy.

However the 6 other seeds aren't growing by "Bodhi" Sunshine daydream. But except one and it's looking terrible, it's grown but it's showing no signs of leaf development apart from just a stem. And it's looked the same for 4-5 days.

Humidity is normally at 80 but it's dropped since this morning because the humidifier ran out of water

It's seemed quiet around here a few days, I've thought. I don't really know what to tell you man, I have virtually no experience with seeds but some of those seedlings look pretty weak, maybe just a dud batch, or could they have been infected with something? As seeds or through the medium, maybe? Have the others popped through at all yet? When my heisenbergs popped slower than the last batch I gently dug them up and they'd sprouted horizontally, I think I buried them too deep. If your medium is loose enough then I'd be tempted to have a poke around and see if there's any life in them at all, and if there is then I'd probably use a few drops of weak seaweed extract to try and give them a boost. Sorry I can't help but I hope they pull through for you :peace:

**Edit** Sorry, only one seedling looks weak, I can't see anything in five pots but the 3 little seedlings look sound.

That's the one seedling im having trouble with no leaves at all!! Sucks :/

The other three are a different strain northern lights by sensi, pretty difficult to mess up lol

I've done wjt you've suggested - dug them up carefully only 3 seedlings I put back into germination because the root isn't long enough, the other 2 look pretty good, they're about ready to pop the soil.

I've just sprayed the soil of each with a weak seaweed solution - 6 in total under lighting.

my only issue now is the 1 seedling that has no leaves, it's grown without leaves! What gives xD

I know, it's the weirdest thing, looks like they just never formed?? Well I hope they pull through, the northern lights look good and hopefully the other seeds will pop with normal leaves so you'll still have a good batch on the go. Good luck with them; we grow and learn, nothing is wasted.

Your right it's all a learning curve, slowly but surely :)

The seedling without leaves looks like they got torn off as it was leaving its seedling case, how did you germinate? Personally after trying every way i find wet paper towel on paper plates for a day or two always gets nice long white roots stickin out. Then using tweezers i very gently place them with the root facing as downwards as possibly about first knuckle deep using your pinky finger.. i haven't had a seedling fail yet using that method. *knock on wood*
Also for the seedlings you have now you most deffiantly need more light man. That tent should be lit up . it's pretty much dark in there, those are nothing compared to even a 250 watt cfl. To save them I'd say throw an hps on because other wise the one's that our sprouted are going to stretch for the moon and you're going to have a nightmare

Here's my younglings. They're about 3 weeks old. I start them in the pots they finish in. No nutes till week three (which was 2 days ago to be exact) just tons of light. And i use the germination method mentioned above. Hopefully you can save those guys. Good luck man.

what exactly is your grow medium? What is the Ph and PPM of the run off of the same media? You are looking for ph of 6.0-6.5 and ppm of less than 200. seedlings are easily burnt. i had trouble with seedlings and checked the ppm on my Promix and it came out of the bag at around 500ppm. went and bought a peat based seedling starter mix, no more problems. when i move out of solo cups they get introduced to the promix

if your mix is too hot, your seedlings will die. go get something mild, wash off the roots and transplant them into seedling mix. i have done it and it saved several that werent burnt too bad yet. they are ready to be chopped and hung tonight.

I'm growing in coco, run-off was 5.8ph before planting the seeds.

The other seedlings had no problems popping up, I don't see why the Bodhi seeds aren't doing well. I paid soooo much for these. apparently they're rare to get now because the breeder lost their Appalachia male.

I've had to pick out three seeds that have shown no signs of germinating, maybe half a mm of taproot? They're being re-germinated..

My only conclusion is they're slow growers, read online some seeds can take upto 2 weeks to fully germinate!

Upon further inspection. I dug the seedling out and it was growing upsidedown!!!

However the leaves are really healthy and green, just really small. Suprised it lasted that long without light!!

Hopefully it springs back into life, unless I've well and truly screwed the root development... xD

Good Luck! That is kind of wild.

Quit spraying them.

Put in dirt, water, let grow. Easy.

Don't pull seed hulls off.

More light.

A fan on low. Not blowing on the seedlings. Just moving air so they move and dance a little.
Hey. I put my seeds in a cup of water and cover. When the taproots showbiz stick them in rockwool carefully

My question is this. You say don't pull the hull off. But alot of times I can see the leaves trying to come out and sometimes there's a little plasma looking shit kinda binding it up. I pull the hulls apart and they usually do fine.

Its a seed. It doesn't need help.

You don't think it's possible that some could use help? Like maybe if I didn't do that it wouldn't pop? I had one this grow that was stuck and turning a dark color. As soon as I took off the hull it got better. It has slow growth at first then did well.

Idk. Not saying you're wrong just wondering WHY you might be right.
