Spectral lightmeter Gigahertz-Optik MSC15

Malocan can you share the raw PPFD data like the original test? Or just do a sum and divide on the spreadsheet for the PPFD data.

Something like =SUM(C3:C123)/121 should do it!
oh okey thanks for the math, i will do it now

edit: PPFD is now in title, thanks jorge

PPFC Uniformity along with PPFD

a PPFD Uniformity above 80% is my target

But they also use average PPFD? Changing height or reflectors means more loss due to reflections off the wall instead of heading straight to the canopy, yeah? That's all I thought we were comparing with summing the spot measurements.

But PPFD uniformity seems like a separate metric that goes hand in hand with PPFD measurements. They both matter, is that you were saying? I mean we have the colored footprints, but min/max is a nice way to cut through the bullshit. Thanks.

Although then my question is, which is better? Not a new question, maybe, since it was kind of obvious looking at the footprints:

60CM no reflector:

AVG PPFD: 596
PPFD min/max: .55. << better than Cree/Gavita, but in a tent!

60CM w/reflector:

AVG PPFD: 629
PPFD min/max: .42

?

Better than Cree.. not fair . their test was not in tent.

The gain with reflectors is small but still 10%

The gain would be much more if the the test was done outside tent.

Thanks for the data guys. canopy is not reflective. Do you think the results would change if the base of the tent was not reflective. I threw in a green cloth when i took my measurements.

I bet it changes PPFD, but not uniformity. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Hi guys
i did a last footprint for this config(511watt@700ma-cxb3590-3500k). Height 31,5cm with reflectors and i added PPFD Uniformity in the title.

Hi Guod,
how we could achieve such a good PPFD Uniformity, i cant imagine how to got 80%.
Maybe with many light sources, which are running on their own driver to dimm them up or down to achieve a even spread :?
Maybe raise only the cobs in the center? For example with 5x5 cobs raise the center 9 cobs. Or with 4x4 cobs raise the center 4cobs. Probably won't be 80% but looking at your footprint pics, raising a few cobs in the center will lower the ppf in the center and spread the light out more to the sides. Or maybe just spread the ones in the center more. Or yes, dim the center cobs, or run the ones around the edges harder.

Hi guys,
today i got my cob holders from BJB for clu058-1825, they are really fat/big.
Later i will finish my build, HLG-320H-54B with 5*clu058-1825/2700k 90cri.
I will share some pictures and measurements

OoOoOoOoOoOo... 2700K, eh?!?! Do you plan on using this 5 cob light to flower mr, malocan?

I guess the no-reflector tests weren't so bad after all, with those beasts ready to be built. What are the rest of the holders for? :)
