UPDATE:

Well I made my first fixture using the new pin heatsinks. 8 x CXB3590 CD @ 700ma and 12 x Oslon SSL hyper reds. There is a 21w t5 fitting in the middle for a reptile lamp but I am not using it at the moment as I am experimenting with one in another grow. If the benefit is not astounding I would prefer not to add the extra 21w of inefficiency. The grow space is lined with Orca reflective sheet. First time I have used it. The only draw back is for larger grows it is price prohibitive. The fixture is for flowering only. I hit them with 15 minutes of far red at the end of the "day" cycle. I made the far red light from a cheap chinese flood light and a 20w far red chip.

At the moment I have a super lemon haze, girl scout cookies, pineapple express and holy grail kush under this fixture. I elected not to scrog this run because I seem to be short on time these days. As you can see I am height restricted in this grow space. I am hoping to get away with staking them.They have stretched a bit but should behave now.

Hello Mr. Walker,
I elected to use the HLG-185H-700A. I would not imagine that I would adjust the current very often or perhaps never. I still have the internal pot option in an emergency though. Of course finding that the fixture is generating too many photons would be a wonderful problem to have.

There are a lot of gentlemen that go by the name Jerry in China. I wonder if they have conducted research on the trustworthiness of the name or that it is just easier to say or type in Chinese.
I would love to spend a day at their factory and play with their machines. How is your still project coming along?

The still is getting better and better! Last run went perfect, premium moonshine 74%
We call it affectionately "the old 74"

But a 10/12 hour sitting for 4 liters was getting too much, time to scale it up hehe
So sunday we're going to pick up an old copper boiler in Brabant, 120 liters volume.
The old main kettle will be used as a thumper, output should then be around 10 liters for one run.

Oh and within a week or 2 it's time for a new recipe, we're making an attempt at distilling some Captain Morgan rum.... yumyum

I would love to try brewing my own spirits. I will do so vicariously by following your adventures. On another note, what is the general mood in the Nederlands about the Brexit vote? Do you think
Nederlanders will want a referendum of their own soon? If things get any worse in the U.K. I may be moving back to the Netherlands real soon. (I have a European passport and Burgerservicenummer)

You are touching on a topic that's very alive right now in the Netherlands, we just voted a NO (62%) on the association treaty with ukraine.
This is being disregarded by our government, just as the overwhelming NO on the lisbon treaty was disregarded...

More and more we get the feeling we are definately not living in a democracy anymore.
The polls say that more than 70% of Dutch citizens want a referendum on a Nexit, and predictions are that the outcome will be the same as in the UK.

The biggest misconception (which is probably being fed by the eurofiles) is that all is about immigrants
Most people are just DONE with:

the EU bureaucrats
the aggressive expansion of the EU
the aggressive attitude towards Russia
the blindly following of the USA in every TTIP agreement and so on
the closed meetings/reports on everything
etc...

If you ask me, the only way they can get me to WANT to remain... is to fire the complete EU top
Juncker, van Rompuy, Timmermans and so on... kick em out, and start fresh

I think if we just went back to the EEC and just had open trade with each other that would be best. Big government is never good. It gets bloated with "representatives" that milk their "authority" for all it is worth. Don't get me wrong Nigel Fargage is a knobhead of the highest order. I do not support UKIP at all. I was not aloud to vote in the Brexit referendum as I am European and not a U.K. citizen. I hope you guys get to do want you feel is best for the Netherlands.

GrowMau5 had a good audio on Youtube from a guy in USA doing the same time of thing.

As far as the EU - replacing people will not help. Having an extra layer of politicians stealing from taxpayers with their cronies and banksters always hurts the people. Going back to EEC with no paid politicians is a better solution.

I agree with your sentiment 100% but sadly I see no real example of personal accountability in modern politics. Unless a politician is caught red handed in a deliberate criminal act. I believe many politicians start out idealistic and with good intentions and when they are initiated into the "club" the moral corruption begins. Power and influence is a massive never ending hit of crack, the political structure is the pipe in which to smoke it. The dumbed downed media influenced populus are the "hos" that sell their ass to finance said addiction. D.C. mayor Marion Barry in the 1980s provided an almost "after school special" on how the system works. Crack + pipe + hos = pimp politics.

This would be a big problem with how our system is run today, but it midst certainly can be fixed. We the People must demand it. We're seeing what happens when we don't.

Update:

Spent some time wrestling with these girls today. I was hoping to get away with just a few canes and lollipopping. I just wanted to try and play like the other kids do. Alas, this particular style does not suit the space and I will be back to modular scrog when these ladies are finished. Due to height restriction in this particular space I have elected to put up a frame and net to help corral any wanton behavior.

I do not know if perhaps I am experiencing the placebo effect but the introduction of infrared seems to have these specimens flowering with more gusto than I have seen before. They seem slightly ahead of the norm for 8 days into flower. Again this could just be my imagination. Of course I have also added other new experiments as well. I have been "cooking" their organic feed with lactobacillus 24 hours before hand. I also added a bit more neem cake and kelp than usual with a good dose of fulvic for good measure.

There is a pineapple express in the furthest back corner that has decided to be my problem child this run and remain shorter than the rest. There is always one and they are usually the hardest to reach. Another week and I shall defoliate below the net thoroughly. Anything that fails to reach the canopy will be sacrificed for the greater good.

As I type this, my doorbell has rung and a delivery of more aluminium angle has arrived. I will be building another fixture to accompany this one and throw some more specimens in there. I am leaning towards adding more hyper reds just for giggles
