Your system suggests competing private security firms that must be paid to provide protection and you talk about unintended consequences?? Your society is based off of a mob racket to start with... Yo, pay me to prevent some guy from breaking your windows....

No, my society is based on demonstrable facts and the idea that forcible monopolies create the problems which we all rant about here. That's what exists now, a forcibly held monopoly on provision of services.
Freedom of choice in selecting a service provider provides the proper feedback to the service provider to ensure a forcible monopoly (like what presently exists) doesn't arise.
In other words in a free market, service providers must compete by "being good" or they don't get continued business. In an unfree market, that missing element, customer feedback, is why things are the way they are now.
The Market for Liberty isn't a long book, written a bit from an early 70s perspective, but much of it is still relevant.
