THE ‘INNOCENT’ PHILANDO CASTILE NARRATIVE COMPLETELY FALLS APART

So just how unjustified was this shooting? Let’s put everything together: A cop recognizes robbery suspects from a BOLO alert. He has reasonable cause and pulls them over. Castile has his hand on a gun that is resting in his lap. Officer Yanez draws his weapon and demands that Castile put his hands up. Castile makes a threatening motion and is shot. This cop did everything right. There is no law enforcement officer in the country who would have done things any differently.

President Obama freaked out and Micah Johnson killed 5 cops based in part on this lie. A white cop didn’t kill a law-abiding black man over a busted taillight in Minnesota. A Hispanic cop shot an armed robbery suspect after he brandished a firearm. There is a huge difference here.

Tragic that a man died, but the picture was never as main stream media portrayed it.

I haven't read this yet, but I'm pretty sure the video that had everyone losing their shit began AFTER the shooting and all of the details that painted the cop as a murderer with no justification came SOLELY from Castile's woman. Is that an accurate assessment?

If that's the case, is it possible that this is another ridiculous rush to judgement that turns out to be total bullshit, or has my total lack of interest caused me to miss something that wasn't pure conjecture (common of our RIU libs) or a description of the situation by an outraged female companion?

Please tell me there is a bodycam or something that actually shows this was a bad shoot.

i don't think there has been any video of the lead up to or the actual shooting, just the aftermath. just enough for all the low-info folks to draw their conclusions. and the cop that shot him, after all the white people hate was gathered turned out to be hispanic.

The cop was scared, and overreacted. He didn't stop the guy thinking "here's my chance to kill a black guy". Nor did he slyly smile when he pulled his gun and shot the guy. He was just plain scared. And he overreacted and killed a guy who was probably trying to comply.

So why was the cop scared?

I love how everyone on this site up until relatively recently was a criminal (and some still are) yet we pass judgement on a dead guy with some suspected gang affiliation and we're ok with denying a fellow citizen his due process and his life ? Where are the constitution defending gun nuts? This guy had a ccw permit.

I don't think I would pass the joint to as many of you as I originally thought.

What happened to the cops body camera footage? Easy to make a false report they would have sprinkled some crack on him if that bitch didn't pull out her phone. :bigjoint:

So what do you think?

Did the cop revel in his "chance" to kill a black guy? All the time knowing how much scrutiny he would be under?

No, I think he shot the guy 4 times because he was unjustifiably scared, maybe be because of racist views.

But I don't think he was just looking to kill him a black guy.

i don't think there is a single person on this site that condones the killing of an innocent person by the cops. i've been on both sides of the law, and can say the cops that shot the gentleman in LA and MN were most likely both in the wrong. but to jump to the "hang those fucking pigs" side of the argument is extremely rash. i'm simply providing some levity to the situation and discussing what happened. you might not agree, and that's fine. my beliefs don't require your consent. and no, he didn't have a CCW. and he also didn't get pulled over for a broken tail light. sorry.
