Mr. Cutter,a customer sent me a link on this and I liked the concept, then I saw they were using low cost P2 china leds and was a bit disappointed, It seems to go to this amount of design you should be using top quality diodes and maintain a combo of output/eff without any concern about thermals, Cree or osrams at greater density would work beautifully with these

Thank you for your post. I sent the company a request for more information on what diodes and bins they use and received a sales brochure filled with repeated information from their website. No facts just sales patter. I agree with you the concept has merit but the materials used do not. Shame really.
I can see vertical food production with high efficiency luminaires becoming the norm in the not too distant future. The initial financial outlay for a system as large as they are selling with quality diodes would be what double or triple?
