What Gives Dispensary Weed That Crisp Or Coolness When Smoked??

Hey there I'm wondering how the top shelf weed I mostly have seen at dispensaries or from that one friend we have who charges too much has that not only super DANK smell but also that taste. Well not sure if taste is the correct word to me it almost a crispness or smoothness. I'd compare it to smoking a menthol the menthol has that sort of coolness or refreshingness to it. And I remeber like 10 years ago going to the dispensary and buying a bag for the first time coming home and taking a bong load and just being so amazed by the sensation I got from inhaling that weed. It felt and smoked so seifferetnlynthen all the other weed in my life to that point. So I wanna know how do you getthat from your weed. Obviously you need to start with great genetics and know what your doing grow wise but I posted this in the "Harvesting" section because I feel the drying and curing process that's being used has something I do with it. So if you have any thoughts or ideas about the drying/curing or if you thinks it's in growing. Whatever you think please share , especially if you are a top notch marijuana producer or what ever you preferred to be called or work at /Own a dispensary please lay some knowledge down on me. I'm almost ready To harvest a crop and wanna know what I can do during the drying/curing process to head towards having that IT factor I've been speaking to because right now all the weed I've grown while it's good just doesn't have that little thing that seperates it. I've only found it in a handful of buds always from a dispensary or Big Time grower

ivw never smoked any weed from Colorado. Just dispensaries in Cali and Washington. But I'd think weed at dispensaries would be dank no matter where you are. Don't know about recreational bud but if it's not good like you say that's a bummer. So you think it's in the cure. I agree I'm just wondering what do they do in their curing process to make it like that?

Start with a PROVEN cut. Something that youve seen grown & seen the bud, & that your impressed with.

Use organic based nutes. Rather you make your own...use bottled...or whatever. Ive done all of the above & all work. Some just better than others.

Learn how to properly dry & cure. Lots of videos on youtube. Some are good & a lot are bullshit.

Thanks for your input. As far as flush goes for hydro how do you feel I see a lot of conflicting ideas on here as other sites. I'm about to finish up a grow inDWC and am trying to decide whether I should flush or not ? Your thoughts. I use advanced nutrients 3 part and some hydro guard. It's my first DWC grow. When growing in soil I've always flushed. But as for the DWC I feel like I'll be starving my plants. If I do flush I think I'll only do it for a few days max. I usually do like 2 weeks for soil. Thanks

There is not one piece of science to prove flushing. I've decided not to do it on my first harvest

how could you ever need to flush in soil if you're feeding with organic bottles? oh you mean at the end, now why would you want to go ahead and do that.

flushing is bad; effectively and cost-wisingly reduce nutrients towards the end but don't starve the damn things.

Don't listen to that. Flushing is for toilets. Flushing just removes salt from the root zone and only needed if you don't water right or over feed. You can't flush what the plant is made of. The plant breaks nutrients down and converts them into something else.

Its all in the dry and cure.

You can grow any strain including random bag seed and get foot taste and burn.

First chop right before lights on. The terpenes (smell) will be at the highest levels and starches in the root zone.

Next is the dry. The slower the better. Try to dry over 4-7 days.

Last is a good cure. There are threads about it in the harvesting and curing section. A good two month cure at least.

I don't agree with it's all in the cure, it's simply not all in the cure. It's all about what you give your plant up until chop, you get out what you put in, it's super important to properly care for your plant no amount of curing will fix a shitty grow or crap genetics. Definitely chopping at lights on or giving 48 hours darkness is the best way to go but if you didn't do well up until that point your weed still gonna suck even if you cure it for months. Most dispensaries rush their cure/dry anyway because they need to keep stock.

My point being that "flushing" isn't what gives it good taste.

Of course a great cure on burnt up shitty plants won't make it taste better.

At a minimum I want a month.

It needs time for chlorophyll to break down.

What style of grow so would you recommend. I just moved from soil to DWC and like DWC plants grow faster.
