Kinda like buying food for a hummingbird feeder. Just heat some water and dissolve sugar in it. Fill up the feeder and voila. Gtg
Well my humming birds are picky bastards, they will only drink the pre made concentrate and if diluted they fly away.........just saying lol. Oh and ya its fucking expensive :(.

What happened to your crop...details step by step, what you used for base nutes, additives ,when incorporated Overdrive...how much resin production..strength...any smoke experience..taste like shit or didn't work..etc.
I use GH 3pt base, calmg, sweet, and hydrogaurd. Added OD the last three weeks and the plants (Dinafem Blue Kush) stopped ripening and began the craziest foxtailing I've seen so far. Smell and was good but potency, taste, and bag appeal were shit. Like shit shit.

I have had bad experiences with everything AN I've tried and stay away from them like the fucking plague now

nope, its growing in coco...its own mutant position. in general you CAN consider it hydro, but it has its own special nute issues that hydro definitely doesn't share. its a calcium hog, and while it isn't hard to flush, its harder to flush than a reservoir
LOL...simply dump it in the toilet and push the little handle down! FLUSHED!

Using overdrive in the last weeks is the culprit, especially since you don't believe in flushing. If you overfeed and then dry the buds too fast, you'll end up with bad tasting weed.
STFW? Fuck flushing - MYTH!

CURE ,,,, it's ALL in the proper dry and L-O-N-G cure!

Now then - I like all the "opinion" on the Coco being hydro or not.

Hydroponics is growing "soillless" Coco is soillless growing! Coco is simply another hydroponic media - no matter what "special" considerations it requires.

I tried overdrive once and yup crazy fox. I only used it the once but after that I figured it wasn't worth the money :(. Now it's just the basics and happy plants till the end.

Molasses? You supplement with molasses? Oh please tell me why?

If your using a AACT tea - the idea that you use molasses to "feed" the microheard is moot! Your adding heard at every use..
Molasses does little and other things work better for what you use it for....Molasses tends to compact soil and can cause fermentation in the soil - bad thing...

Use molasses to make your tea's and leave the rest of it for baking and BBQ sauce- The "old school" hippie trick of molasses in feeding - is for the most part, A MYTH!
yes growing hydro there are a billion sweetening supplements you can give your plant but its just sugar water
and molasses has been proven time and time again for buliding complex carbohydrates and amino acids or terps...

i do not just give my plants molasses in water cause they get plenty in teas.

what would you suggest as a sweetener if you are growing organic???

grow organic use pro mix mixed with earth worm castings with lots of compost teas and molasses use alfalfa meal, sea kelp meal and naturally mind rock dusts like azomite for food. never feed the last three weeks of flower and i really back off the molasses at week 4 of flower. used canna when i first started growing indoors its good stuff but when growing with canna, zymes and a flush is a must... even just adding molasses and a zyme to what you were running would help canna makes an enzyme called cannazyme and its great stuff. and ive learned running additives from different nute lines can be risky...
Yes just for fun try to grow a plant using only good organic soil, worm castings, and clean water. I bet you'll find you couldve saved a boatload of money and end up with some nice dank bud. I mean curing is important as is picking the right time to harvest both of which require a bit of exp to do right but whatever you give your plants always ends up being deposited in the flesh of your plants even if you flush the shift out of them. You can always give nutes sparingly if needed during bloom phase but they don't need as much as you think actually less is more; I'm sure you've heard this but it's hard to resist the urge to dump more stuff on them especially if you've got some hydro store moron guiding your purchases. Whatever you do never give high P or high K bloom booster late in flowering as it just makes the fungus in your mix all kinds of upset.
It's way better IMO to build up a good mix and put your plants in it then all they need is water: doesn't get any easier plus it allows the plant to take what it needs when it needs it instead of force feeding them everything all the time.
I've done exactly the same thing as you and at the time it was directly attributed using too much nutrient and keeping temps way too high. If your grow ever gets above 85 during flowering that will quickly degrade trichs & reduce potency like nothing else can.

Molasses feeds the microbes in the soil not the plants...its microbial activity that is increased by the presence of sucrose. It doesn't actually sweeten the buds. Actually you could use honey or maple syrup too doesn't matter it's just that molasses also contains macros like magnesium which helps with uptake of other nutrients.

Have you tried a couple drops of red food dye? My mom's been feeding hummers for years and when she first tried sugar water they stayed away then she put the food color in it and...Ruby-throated Hummer central!

yes you have to have some kind of microbial life in the median and rhizosphere to break it down.

Yes and so have I lol. Last year they got all attitudy Judy and stopped drinking anything but the concentrate, tried sugar water, soluble feed, even tried a bit of honey lol. They just taste it and fly away :o. Think they have another feeder with the good stuff close by, may have to spike it with vinegar lol.

Didn't really have time to check out the ash..I think it was grey...but the smoke didn't make make me cough or burn in throat
..the buds if you hold in you hand and snif, snif ,,,,sniiiif smells just like bark and that's all...I was looking with my micro scope at the colors of the trichomes now ,and its like they are ether amber or clear,,,can't really spot any particular anything in between...
I am wondering that the natural curve of maturing was interrupted with the Overdrive and instead of producing oils it started to build size and messed up with its natural curve of maturing...beacuse the AN Overdrive puts the plants back to the size building kind of a flowering veg mode..it said that it might delay the actual ripening ,so that's why I kept the extra 1 week...(that was like the limit of my patience)...anyway newer really had this much of ambers in my buds before like 20-40 %....but the freaking buds are not sticky at all you can have them in your hand and they are fucking dry bark...yes there is some shimmer and they look quite ok...not like the cover pics on High Time magazine do..
This is hard to believe mate. I sampled some of my buds yesterday. My plant is only in its 4th week of flower but the sample came from week 3. It's very potent to the point that i know I won't be able to smoke too much of it without it putting me on my arse after the plant gets fully harvested. I only use organic though. But really hard to believe your bud wasn't potent after using all of those additives.

And this is only with a 3 day try by the way. No cure. Imagine if I had cured it for 2 weeks as recommended. But I didn't need to, Super potent aurora indica from nirvana.

Depends what you define as flushing I guess. last week nothing but water and fulvic acid? I prefer the last watering to have clear run off. Full nutrients till chop makes for harsh bud IMO.
This is horse shit myth! I learned decades ago the truth. I've never looked back and feed till the day before harvest! CURE it!

Cure only works for buds that wouldn't smoke harsh in the first place, it has never saved unflushed buds from being unpleasant. I'm not saying kill your plants with over watering in the last week, but if the plant hasn't faded at all when I chop it won't be good smoke. I can't get fade if I continue feeding.
