Two weeks ago my wife was put in handcuffs, restrained, when she asked wtf she was told she'd had a warrant( never been in trouble in her life) they slapped her phone out of her hand and broke it when she trird to tape the episode. This happened invfront of a busy store.....she had no warrant, they didnt mirandize her, oh and they broke her phone.
That is what they do. America's indifference has emboldened them to behave like thugs.

Wow you are absolutely right and we really didn't anticipate having someone in our house that would do this we know better now, sometimes it doesn't pay to be nice to people or try to help them out. Although I still occasionally pick up hitchhiker's cuz I feel badly for them and if I think that they look alright, or I see that their car was broken down I will still give them a ride
I help strangers all the time but follow proper protocol for my home internet security and carry a concealed weapon so if that hitchhiker tries to rob me.

I'm not saying to not help someone.

I don't know how to take this. I bought that she skunk shit and actually apologized.

Not as horrible as someone who harbors pedophiles tho, wouldn't you agree?
No I think the kind of person that tries to deliberately hurt someone or , with intent try to inflict emotional distress is about the worst kind of person of all and they're at the bottom of the septic tank.

We followed proper Home Internet Protocol and we actually both are legal gun owners however this particular person actually knew a way to hack into the system and they've been looking for this creep for a long time. Because of his record he could not hold a job but he knew how to do things. The Attorney General's office said they'd been hunting him for 3 years.

Its the very reason I want my gun rights.

I was watching Alaska state troopers. Cops specifically said in the show they had to be careful how they act because everyone is armed there.

How much worse do you think the cops will.behave if they figure most everyone is unarmed?

If people have their Internet properly protected it's practically impossible to hack without specialised skills.

There ain't no hobo breaking 128bit encryption on the side of the street, sorry to dash your world view with facts.

Actually - I think it's the assumption that everyone IS armed that gives them the their justification for being "afraid for their life". When they think every kid they're waiting to harass on the street has a piece, they act like bigger thugs. In the wilderness of Alaska, it's a completely different story. Not to mention the racial demographic...

Perhaps you would like to talk to the Attorney General's office why don't you give me your name and you can have a conversation about what this man was capable and not capable of doing as you know virtually nothing about him you are in no position to make any kind of judgment but I'll be more than happy to give them your name and you can discuss it with them how he was able to do what he did .... yeah I didn't think that was happening

Apparently not good enough security protocol or this wouldn't have happened.

My dad volunteers at a homeless shelter and they have sermons there. He has asked to take the kids several times. I'm like hell no.

Not because homeless people are bad but because you never know who is there.

If they were looking for the guy does that mean they are dropping the case against you guys?

Wrong. Plenty of gangs and racial diversity in Alaska.

Yes, guns are with risk and harm thier owners. I'm a safe gun owner though. I don't leave them laying around.

My point being that if you think police are bad now wait until they know we can't fight back.

What do guns do when left laying around? Do they randomly go off?

This was two years ago and there never was a case against us. As I said previously they did arrest my husband for a small amount of pot he had in his office but those charges were almost dropped immediately when we got my brother in law involved who is an International attorney and has worked for the CIA and FBI. They did however hurt my husband when they slammed him up against the door and his head hit a deadbolt he sustained permanent injury from that and we are settling with the Attorney General's office on that. I don't know I think you're wrong about Internet safety and IP addresses at the time we'd lived on a very busy Street in a big neighborhood and everybody either had AT&T or Time Warner Cable and when your internet went out you could gain access to your neighbors internet not on all of them but about an eighth of them you could, our youngest daughter showed me and she didn't do anything special other than click on somebody's IP name and address which of course I told her not to do ever again but she showed me that it was possible so I think a lot of people are vulnerable

You're right, I wasn't thinking about the Samoans and Natives. They're not to be fucked with.

See, when a populace is disarmed, does the policing mentality change? Of course, it wouldn't be a switch to be flipped and everything would go away, but how many people are killed by police in countries that have stronger controls in place? Like, all of Europe?

Dunno I was just giving my two cents about Alaska since I lived there recently
