You realize the US was established by protesters, correct? The Bill of Rights doesn't entitle a person to anything, the language used is very specific for a reason. Those are natural rights that the government is not to encroach on. If the federal government does so, they have violated their contract to uphold the document they derive their legitimacy from (in theory). This would make armed demonstrations warranted, a rouge government is far more dangerous than citizens with firearms. That was why that clause existed in the first place, saying anything else is just relativist apology.
