My plant has a very strong smell.

Hey guys, I used to grow about 3 plants at a time when I grew a couple years ago.
The smell was so strong that my friends could smell it outside of my house lol.

This time I am growing only one plant and its an auto flower so it won't be that big.
I know that it is going to have a strong smell though, so what do you guys think I can do to reduce the smell.

Youll get an even smellier mess when ya crop. Maybe crop while neighboors are asleep too while using a carbon filter as mentioned in post above..When i started growing i had a saverly strong smelling strain where a clone you could smell next door and beyond . So i made a ionizer with a 6k transformer. Put out soem seriouse ions. lol. Hows the saying go ,"can choke a horse ". One day i forgot to change the rate at which it came off and on and am looking at my nighboors next door standing in there back yard with thier noses up in the air and let me tell ya , its was no fresh spring rain they smelled ! lol. So i hurried down stair before they figured out where it was comming from and made my adjustment . whew. carefull if you go that route...Good luck.

Cutting early and drying fast is aways seems to knock out that cannabis smell petty quick.

Try it, guaranteed to work.

Thank you for the reply. I just can't afford the fans ppl have mentioned.
My girlfriend has a candle downstairs that made the whole house smell like it. Do you think I can try that out.
Also I am only growing one plant and its an autoflower so it won't be that big.

You could try but, I don't think a candle is gonna cut it. Are you gonna have it lit all day? Look in the DIY sub forum I'm sure there's better options. You'll get used to the smell after a while and won't smell it, but others will.

Ya that's the problem. I love the smell of weed, it smells so good to me.
It doesn't smell good to my woman though and she said if it smells up the whole house I can't grow it.
It would crush me if I couldn't control the smell and I have to stop growing.

Never grown? Not being a dick. If you grow in a legal area then no big deal. If you grow in a non legal area or you don't want others to know for whatever reason then haha. Prison has soap. Carbon filter

Are there not any strains that have a low smell level? Just wondering I have read some people can grow plants and they don't smell much at all or is that just the conditions they grow in?

Did you look in the diy forum? There's a decent homemade one on the first page. You can make one cheap depending on the size of the room you're growing in.

There's stuff called ona gel you could try, it would work much better than a candle.

If you can't take "candle haha" I don't think you were meant for the interweb. I lol'd at the thought of lighting a candle to mask your grow op. Maybe lighten up a Lil.
