1) Remote Ballast
2) Hammered Aluminum
3) I Have A Hydrofarm Source So I Didn't Pay Anything Close To Retail :hump:

1) Remote Ballast
2) Hammered Aluminum
3) I Have A Hydrofarm Source So I Didn't Pay Anything Close To Retail :hump:

1..... uses a Philips ballast, designed to give the best output from their bulbs.

2...... growers bitching like @dbkick about the phantom remote ballast being a POS and running very hot.

3...... low resistance/ reliable firing due to the ballast being close tothe bulb

4.......i got more if you need it ;)

For what it's worth they have redesigned the phantom cmh ballast but I won't be giving them a spin, as I've already stated 3 out of 3 phantoms I purchased bit the dust . From the original phantom to the DE to the CMH they've all been trash.

Now When I Went Down To The Shop All They Had Was 3100k Kit. No Good To Me Cause I Like My Cmh In The 4000k Plus Range. Now After Looking At The Hood I Opted To Get A DayStar6 Hood From My Buddy He Said If I Like It I Could Buy It Also I Said I Was Only Testing It. My Point To All My Stoned Rambling I'm putting Together My Own Kit With Mogul Adaptor And Unfornataly Yes A Phantom Ballast As I'm Going On The Cheap With This Experiment, :weed:

Out of the brands I've tried I have to say I like the sunplix 315 cmh, it has boosting to 350 and dimming down to 150 . I did have one go bad but that because I put it in a window and placed my lawn sprinkler in the wrong place, I noticed the light didn't come on so I instantly unplugged the ballast and water ran out, one down two remain, I have a par grow that cost me 50 dollars more than the sunplix and I like the design but it lacks features the sunplix has. The sunplix also boasts a patented circuit that extends lamp life.
They say to 10 years but give me a fucking break, I think it may help extend lamp life but 10 years is a bullshit claim.
Even though I consider it an outright lie I'm still with sunplix due to features. My second choice would probably be genuine philips but those aren't really plug and play unless you buy something like SS lec.
