Here's basically what I wrote to Bodhi about the Sky Pipes with some additions and edits added:
The smell is very nice on all 3, but the #1 pheno (the stocky Christmas tree one) takes the cake. It reeks. I can smell it 50 ft. away outside when it's getting trimmed up inside (with the windows open) and when it was growing out in the open could literally smell it from up to 80 ft. away. I put an ounce in one patient's car trunk and after a minute there was no hiding it, ha ha, he decided not to make any stops on the way home. It has a predominantly lemon-lime smell with some underlying funk that's hard for me to pin down too. It reminds me of Lemon Pinesol. The #2 and #3 phenos have a lighter scent and I'll recheck, but as far as I can remember they both have a lemon or lemon-lime smell. *Edit: the Sky Pipe #3 also had a very strong smell, but not like the #1 pheno.
The taste on the #1 pheno is lemon and pine mostly. It's very nice. I haven't got to try the other two yet. *Edit: my sense of taste isn't very good at all so if I can taste it at all then it has to be some strong tasting stuff. Even then, I usually have to ask friends to let me know, but I forgot to ask them specifics, however, I know the #2 pheno (the super frosty one) was said to be super "tasty" by a couple of my friends that tried it. I assume the #3 pheno had good taste too, but I forgot to ask about it.
I haven't got the total tally yet for this one, but from eyeballing I'd guess the yield is a decent bit above average. I think someone could get some real decent weight off of these. Our winters are still great for growing outdoors, but the yield is about a quarter of full summer growing. The #1 and #2 phenos look like real good yielders. The #3 pheno is probably about average or slightly above average. *Edit: The #1 and #3 phenos had denser flowers and yielded better, but the #2 pheno wasn't shabby either.
The bag appeal is good on all three, but the #2 pheno (the lanky one) is the definite winner. It looks like it's rolled in sugar. It's probably the frostiest strain I've grown. And the bud density is good too for what the average consumer is looking for. I'd say about a 6 or 7 on a 1-10 scale.
I've only got to smoke the #1 pheno so far, but the effect is also great. It's got a good clear headed, functional high without paranoia too, like the JamGoji's, but it's mellow. I read one of your descriptions for your strains that said, "it'll put some dip in you hip and some slide in your stride" and I'd say that's accurate for this one too. I haven't been in too much pain lately, but I'd guess it would be a good strain for pain relief. It has a nice floaty body feel to it. *Edit: The #2 pheno is super potent and more stoney. It's good relaxation weed, not so good for work if you have to stay active like I do. They were all very good potency, but the #2 pheno took the prized in this area.
Overall I'd say these SkyPipes check all the boxes growers look for. Very good yield, mold resistance, aroma, taste (for the one I tried anyway), bag appeal, effect, etc. The #1 pheno is definitely going to be in my garden for a long time. The #2 pheno is making the cut too for now because it's soooo frosty and looks to be a good yielder with a nice smell. I don't know about the #3 sticking around, but it's a good plant nonetheless which I'm happy to have. Everybody that has tried the #1 pheno has really loved it also.
I should also mention neither strain attracted bugs anymore than what's normal for my area. I've had strains that were bug magnets and these weren't.
And when I mentioned everybody liking both strains what I meant was, they have been instant hits/favorites with patients. I've got good compliments either through word or action. A friend of mine who's visiting from Oregon and is an everyday smoker who has some good grower friends tried the Jam x Goji and said it was the best weed she's ever smoked. Another friend of mine who deals exclusively with indoor product got two ounces this week for his own personal stash, donating a decent amount more than he does for his indoor supply and all that in spite of having a virtually unlimited supply of indoor product. He said it's some great stuff. Just FYI, the donation price was the normal price for here for top-shelf stuff; he just gets a really great deal on his indoor stuff.
