Glad to see ya around !! Thanks very much for the compliments on the plants.. I'll take your idea into account about the males for iso hash.. the only problem is provides me is my other plant.. we shall see how it goes !!

Hey FT looking pretty good I dont think those spots are nute burn look more like a deficiencey to me...........sometimes its hard to tell the difference...........but the brown tips are a sign of magnesium deficiency IME

That could be problematic as I'm not sure I can afford something like Cal/Mg or whatever product I'd need to fix that.. I guess I'll just monitor it and go from there...

Another mini ball popped up on HK, I'm praying that a pistil is busting out of it when lights go on tomorrow morning !!! :( :) :( Mixed Emotions !

FT this is going to sound kind of weird but I'm glad this plant problem has popped up, cause its happening to me as well and now I think I know for sure what it is. I am almost POSOTIVE its a Mg deficiency. I started flowering a few days ago and one of my indicas seems to be showing these browning spots and browning at the tips of some of the lower leaves. Read the symptoms of Mg deficiency in the grow faq it fits the description perfectly, describe it as browning and necrotic spots starting on the lower leaves. It seems to commonly pop up when you switch to a 12/12, same thing happened to my old roomate too, they must need more Mg when they start to flower. Anyway you don't need to spend any more than a couple dollars to fix this, just add 1/2 tablespoon epsom salt per gallon of h20 at every water. Epsom salts is a fancy title for Magnesium Sulfate it seems...

Dankness: Very interested man, I happen to have epsom salts around here infact I just got a new bag like a week ago.. Excellent

So now, my "Flushes" final bit of water will contain Epsom salts and a drop of superthrive till I can get my Bloom nutes at the end of the week !!

Everything is shaping up nicely !! Just need Females !!

Well FT, the only thing is I don't know about those flushes. If your plants are experiencing Mg deficiency there really wouldn't be a need. I would just continue your normal feeding schedule and add the epsom salts. I mean its not like they would be getting burnt now off of the same nutes you've been feeding them for weeks, right? Unless you've recently started adding a higher concentration, sorry if I missed this detail. Anyway stopping the nutrients could just compound the problem, I'm sure they need lots at this stage of development. Well its your grow so its your call, just putting in my two cents.

I was still thinking about trying a flush before going from Veg to Bloom nutes, but I guess your are VERY right, this is the time my plants need the MOST nutes !!

9/08 Morning Update

Well folks, I think our journey together might be coming to a end...Atleast for this round...I'm now 50% sure HK is a fucking dude, but will still give it a few days to either develop a pistil or just grow a bigger ball... I can't begin to explain how angered I am. I don't want to have to start from seed all over again, thats just well FUCK.. yah, thats about all I can say.. Clones or Fem when I decide..As of right now I"m just really unhappy.. there is still TH though, but HK was my prodigy...ah well.. So anyway as for pics are concerned I took one top and one side shot of each plant and then I took a pic of the ball...Today would also be watering day, so now I'm not 100% sure if I should even bother giving HK watering.. I dunno.. I guess i"ll continue to live in denile and grow it till I'm either 100% or one of my experienced readers is 100%... I'm also adding a pic of how to sex that I found as a reference...

So I'm now fairly certain (:wall: over 80%) that HK is a boy...I've got 2 new pictures as my "proof". Now I have no problem letting it grow another week or even two to make 100% sure.. here is my problem.. I don't know the sex of TH and on the off chance its a girl, I don't wanna fuck up my one shot to clone and then get some buds...What would those more experienced suggest ??? I have another box downstairs my vegetable one.. I don't know how veggies do on 12/12 so I'd hesitate to move HK there..I wonder if I could rip off all the balls and cause it to go hermie and atleast get bud ? lol..wishful thinking... anyway i gotta go to work so I'm leaving them together till atleast I get home tonight..

So, what do you guys think ???

323: Thanks for the input, thats more or less what I figured as well.

Token: Very much appreciated man, Hopefully TH pulls through and is a little girl and all is not lost... I still have HOPE !!! with every negative comes a positive.. lets just hope thats mine :) Thanks for your kind words, I'd love to claim that I "know" what I'm doing...but I"ll just say i have a good grasp of what to do after many,many years or reading. Not to mention I have some great advisors on this site :)

So since TH isn't a boy I will have to figure out what to do with HK tonight after I get home from work. I'm still waiting for some others to chime in, but ya.. looks like I have my answers

Yeah dude thats a nut. Sorry to say I think I'm seeing the first signs of some nuts on the indica I did the LST on. MY FUCKING BEST LOOKING PLANT! Well, comes with the territory I guess. I've got my finger crossed for TH, if its any consolation I hear females take longer to show sex, so every passing day the chances of TH being a female improve! Well lets all just hope...

NOOOOO! males :( i feel for ya man. the grow i'm finishing now started around 30 babies and i'm down to around 8! what the hell?! lol i didnt get good seeds, there were a few hermies, but yeah i know the frustration lol. go toke one and feel better dude :)

If you see a sack and it doesnt have 2 little hairs coming out then chances are its M. I would wait a few days just to make sure.

I still say wait a week or 2 more... I wouldn't worry about (him) fertilizing your other plant.. it's way to early for that... so it's ok to keep them together for a while longer.

However all is not lost.... after all just think of all the experience both of these plants have taught you =]

Besides... now you can practice your cloning with it, with out worries ;-) (that is what I would do)

.... not to mention.. Maybe even cross them and make your own seeds. If you can separate them. You can later come back and brush some of HK's pollen on just one of TH's buds. That is enough to get nearly 100 HK x TH seeds!! =D... who knows were that can lead... in time you can make your own strain from just these 2 genetics ;-)

Or just make some ISO hash out of him (I will be working on an easy way to make hash oil... zen style)

Case in point... All is not lost, you still have many good options.

... Oh and I agree with Dankness... the longer it takes for HT to show... the better the odds that she is a girl =]
