Houston we have a problem...Seedling almost 2 weeks ( Poll )

OK Houston we have a problem.....

Auto flowering Plant.

Lights on 20/4 4 cobs 3590 spaced 7 inches apart.
Temps 71-82
Humidity 50-75%
Started in 50/50 coco/perlite mix in the center of Baccto Promix mixed w/ 50/50 coco/perlite
Sparingly watered (8-10 sprays) , no fertilizer 70/30 RO/Tap water PH 6.6-6.8
Growing environment has had two small fans blowing constantly 24/7 and well as an intake from the bottom bringing in air. The light is 4 cobs set at 1.3-1.4 mA at 30-32" spaced 7 inches apart in a square. 2x2x5 tent.

What I have done....

Watered about 3-4x more a couple days ago around plants 3-4 inches and misted plants for the first time.
Lowered lights to 26-28" 5 hours ago on advice that I could. Two pictures of before/after moving light.
( Just now ) Turned lights down 875 mA and turned off one small fan.

FUCK ME.....just looking at the pictures it looks over watered........doesn't seem like it could be I have so sparingly used water and just the one time misting and extra water. There is a picture of another seedling younger watered the same and same soil.

SO......too much wind and light? over watered? heat? over loving? No food??? or more than one?

I have had the same problem. I was using bag seeds Turns out the bag grower had the problem in his grow, His started much later in the grow his got it during flower he didn't treat it but the problem is called BLIGHT tomatoes get it usually once fruit is set leaves wilt fruit is stunted. The seeds are affected an carry it through to new plants. A fungicide is the only solution's to treat the seeds before planting, bit late now I put my affected baby's outside with the wolfs. The rest seem fine for the time being.

Some more info.....the entire 3 gallon pot has been bone dry except for the small part in the middle I had been spraying lightly. I would say the other day was the very first time I watered enough for water to travel down into the middle of the medium, but the rest of the pot is still bone dry.

Really? hmm...never thought of that...just thought you needed a flooded medium for a while that to happen, these pots have been bone dry pretty much through out. The Other day was the first time any amount of water has been poured into the center of the pot. before that it was small spray streams (8-10) sparingly.

I would stop misting, moisten the medium more from the outside in, stop watering just around baby wetting from the outside in will help the roots to spread further out into the medium there should be even moisture throughout the whole medium, no bone dry areas The roots cant grow into dry mix. hope this helps

yeah I think I have been under watering the pot and that is probably not helping anything.

I was just so afraid to over water that I have been barely giving it any at all.

The root system is probably not as well grown as it could have been otherwise.

The deformed an folded leaf an last pic shows deformation a classic sign of blight this is only my option from experiencing this problem. What do you see? the problem being problem?

The leaves grew like that kind of fluffy and curling, but that last pic happened in a day wham after pouring some water into the medium. Do you think that under watering might have cause the medium to have issues under the soil?

That last picture is 180 turned around from the earlier ones where there wasn't this issue.

Ok so basically next time I do water, water from the outside and let the water soak into the middle.

Oh did you notice the very first picture in this post of a different seedling in the same tent a little younger that has been watered the same?

Anyhow thanks for the advice and time.....I'll keep watching and update...

Interesting I see curling down and some discoloration although it is slightly blurry.

That looks better than mine right now! lol!

Here the youngest seedling which started out greener that the other two. has had the same watering.

Anyhow you might be right.....the whole lot of them could just start going to hell in a hand basket.

I have noticed the leaves themselves on all plants have had this underlying darker hue as they have been growing.

Slow growth could just be from 71f + overwatered. Also, try to water more on the outer side the pot instead of the center.

I have no clue with that brand media but it appears to already have nutrients, its a soiless mix and if it doesn't have any pH buffers or bennies then you should actually pH around 5.8-6.0 imo

Baccto Planting Pro Mix is basically Peat Perlite and Lime. not much any anything..I think
says you can use to plant seeds.

Found analysis for all soils in michigan this one is listed as 00-00-00. no idea exactly what it means though.

• Pre-moistened sphagnum peat
• Coarse perlite
• Dolomitic limestone
• Balanced blend of major and minor elements ( Nothing on the package regarding NPK though )
• Wetting agent
• ( I mixed half and half with Coco/Perlite 50% mix. so that might change PH )

Yeah I think the fact I did not water the whole pot created a problem with the root system.

Hey man, I had the same thing happen to mine during my current (first grow). I watered exactly like you too thinking that the surrounding outer medium didn't really need any water. I was told to let it dry and then give the whole pot a good watering. I did and while I still got some curling here and there, they sprang to life. I also didn't apply a single nute until week 3 but I'm running FFOF which I hear is very hot out of the bag. Here is a of mine when it started. i think its just in too big a pot, the roots are taking a while to spread out and fill that huge pot. i don't think you're gonna see much happen above the soil till the roots catch up underneath. why did you put a seedling in a 3 gallon pot?

Hehe, I did the exact same thing. My pride telling me all this transplanting stuff is nonsense, good thing I'm clever and realized it would be best to just germ in the big pot hahaha. Of course, I regret it : o )
