I couldn't tell you Bc I have no clue...wish I knew tho!I myself take sunshine mix #3 and by the time im done with it it aint soiless nor is it hydro, lol hydro has roots sitting in a fluid, even soiless dont sit in any kind of fluid. What makes soiless so like hydro please ?
Excellent advice my friendIf you read around the various threads over the years, soil is gourmet. Hydro is production. I've done both. Grow the way you want, I say.
I haven't tried it yet but there is just something about the rich soil and dirt from the ground that just gives it a smoother flavor to meRofl copters how you gonna sterilize that media next posts will be about bugs and shit if yu think soil is best that leads me to believe you have yet to try soilless mix witch is considered hydro and gives me more flavorful nugss and as far as flavor and resin that is genetic this is science people I try to stay away from this sight for this reason 95% of the time it's the blind leading the blind in circles
Both....now I'm just using tiny amounts until I get a better soil just the flora line...my last grow I used maxi Bloom and grow and liquid Kool bloom and powder for finish I think it was too much on them they looked great and smoked good but just not like I expected it was a first grow so I won't be doing a DWC for a while

Hydro was fun, but it was hands on everyday and my oh was never balanced. I was ill informed when I started...I have it down tho in case I decide to try again..but after the easiness of soil it how I prefer to use it as my medium.. It grows from the earth so I'm gonna go the natural routeThis is how I grow, even use the same nutes. The first few grows weren't great and checking pH and ppm was a pain but after a few grows I figured it out and use the same nute mix and never check the numbers.
I recently tried using peat soil/soilless and failed because I didn't know what I was doing. I think hydro might actually be easier to learn because you have more control, if you mess something up, you can just dump the res and try again you don't need to flush, hope it's clean, and hope you fixed it.
I also like hydro better because it's cleaner, you don't have to buy and dispose of or recycle dirt. I just pour the water down the toilet when I'm done.
unfortunately I had to add Chems to my soil so I'm not completely AU natural lol....Another awesome science/fact based thread/argument!
my screen name is vermont mic-mac our true name is mi'kmaqi first nations people. Hence the vtmi'kmaqi. I am glad you pointed that out because i have tried sunshine mix 3 with great success.Km,
Soiless, is passive hydro. The medium is inert

U sah, r dismissedAny critical thinking member would dismiss the OPS claims after reading the first few posts. Not because it's apparent that he is wrong but simply because there's no real proof or scientific evidence to say he is correct.
The only thing that I can positively conclude is that the OP had better results from his soil grow.
Similarly I disagree with your blind leading the blind statement.
Peat based potting soilWhat is sunshine mix #3?

Or breed a plant that grows supreme within your growing ability. I keep all my fancy genetics, but I breed strains on the side that I can basically plant and forget about. That's, like, ur opionion man.
The problem with the site would b all the biased opions, such as "soils better than hydro" etc.
Each method produces phenomenal product soil, coco, hydro, dwc, indoor, outdoor. The key to producing great bud is learning what the plant wants or needs in an givin situation dealing with it appropriately
