advice given to see an estate lawyer asap is the answer,FYI a true will that's been notorized is a binding contract just like any other contract,once u change any part of the contract verbally the entire contract is an open contract

any agreements u & your bro have need to b after the fact agreements,to retain validity to the will it needs to be followed to the letter,if it's a living will with u as executor that means all u need is an original death certificate,not a copy,and your identification,go to pops bank,provide them the will & your notorized affidavit granting you as the sole executor & request the total amount in the account in cash minus like $50 to leave the account open,you save a shitload of paperwork & save a few days wait time on the payout by leaving the account open.

I've done this twice & if I were u I'd be at pops bank at 9am Monday with the death certificate,the will,affidavit of executor & 3 pieces of ID making a " cash withdrawal " request,fuck the cashier check just tell em 24 stacks of $10,000 in $100 bills will be what u want

I was surprised to find out that there was no inheritance tax in my state for any estate under 4 or 5 million dollars .
What I ended up with was well below that. So the property and house I inherited I paid no taxes on until the following year when we paid the property tax for the first time. If the house or property are ever sold I'm not sure if any capital gain taxes would need to be paid but at this time we're not planning on selling.

I was surprised to find out that there was no inheritance tax in my state for any estate under 4 or 5 million dollars .
What I ended up with was well below that. So the property and house I inherited I paid no taxes on until the following year when we paid the property tax for the first time. Because if it was in an annuity or other tax deferred investment, you and your brother just jumped into a rich man's tax bracket for 2017.

The Feds won't charge inheritance tax up to $5 mil... but they'll income tax you over a nickel.

i know i play civil and agree and hold my ground where i want

hire 1 lawyer to act for both of us
i found out a few things he can completely fuck me over by stalling and drawling this out longer

but he wants this house .......the onfile number is 223k i know he is going to bring a person in and try to get it dropped .......... once my name is on that deed i am not selling it for any less then 110k if he does get it valued lower it is still my price he will sell out and i will take it over for cheaper and collect the 350k from 60 k of work .....i have priced the work out over the years to make this a killer house 10k of work will get me 40k return and that is just a bathroom redo water filtering system and some dry walling of the old pannel walls and fixing the ceiling in the basement (new tiles for drop or 2k for drywalling it)

she is 51 and i am 37 not going to do that
