Diy with some citizen clu048 1212 you need around 30w per sq ft if you go solar storm you probably need more like 40w/sqft of actual power draw. Citizen diy will be your best low cost option.

all I can say is I've personally seen both mh and hps in action I've even ran them both given I've never ran larger than a 400 wat bulb I have also seen a single solar storm 880 light a 4x8 gg tent I consider my self to be a better than average gardener limited by my equipment I've seen the buds a an worse than average grower can produce with top of the line equipment I personally would buy a 440 and put it on a mover in any size tent 4x4 or 4x8 or 8x8 it doesn't mater if u can light a 4x8 space with a single 440 wat light it is more efficient than running a however many bin wat ever unless u can build the one light to cover the same area or two lights to cover the same area using equal to or less watts can u with a cob that u build lights a tent with the same or more parr watts light a 4x4 tent with less heat or = and consume 445 watts or less?

I'm Sure you have looked how much does it cost to build one? I can buy a solar storm 440 for 800-100 and a light mover for 150-175 how heavy are these cob units will they exceed the weight capacity of a mover
You can get a build done for $2 per watt of power draw and it's more efficient per watt than the solar storm so you will get more light per watt
You can't stretch a light that much at the end of the day you won't get more than 1.5 grams per watt even if you try to move the light over more space
Have u seen an 880 the 440 is 2 panels and 2 uvb tubes the 880 is 4 panels and the exact same 2 uvb tubes so yea I know what it is the 880 can't be used in combination with a mover and no one says a 400 hps is enough for a 4x8 but it's working great so I have to believe that light is capable of lighting a larger area than just 3x3 if ur tent is 4x4 or 4x8 put it on a mover

Have u ran lights with a mover I just pulled an gth#1 mother from this tent that was scrog pulled almost 6 ounces off it cut a purple star 2 weeks before and pulled just under a qp and I cut 3 501 og plants that had 2 zips each
And that's all out of a single 4x8 with a 400 watt hps on a mover
Ya I get that I'm just saying you can either grow a pound in a 4x4 with it or you can put it on a mover an grow a pound in a 4x8 so same nug bigger space if you want to grow more nug u need more light.
