Why Would You NOT Grow Autoflowers? — The Commitment-Shy Hobbyist

Strains to stay away from, in my experience: Skunk, Diesel, and Blueberry. While all potent (especially Blueberry), they dont produce enough to be considered a profit.

Good strains: Bubblegum, Jack Herer, Northern Lights (Best autos I have grown so far are NL), Black Domina and Critical.

Tried non auto diesel and NL. Both were really tasty.

Curious about dark devil auto. LSD25 and some papaya thing. The one with good cbd content.

Currently I have thirteen random beans in storage. With two in the pot. Just in case one is male... here's hoping they're not both male. I want to try some of my own smoke before the year is out.

As stated I only get to grow four at a time. Of course I need consistency.

You should yield more than four zips outdoors with autos. People regularly pull that indoors.

Lately the autos I've been running have been consistently good to exceptional.
I'd like to see some outdoor grows that consistently produce that much. I've grown autos outdoors for the past 6 years. I've never gotten 4 ounces from a plant. Indoor grows produce much more than outdoors. The sun can't compete with 16 to 24 hours of light.

perhaps direct sunlight is too intense for auto's. a large part of the genetics come from a plant that grows in far northern regions

It's not the intensity, it's the amount. I'm pleased with my limited results outdoors. Autos love direct sunlight. If they could receive more of it, they would produce more. Just like indoors.

We get 16 hours in the summer. I run my autos 18/6.

Wow. You ever grow outdoors?
Yes.

Guerilla growing for years. I plant my photos early spring and run autos in the summer when the hours are longest.

The sun can more than compete with indoors when it comes to photo plants. Autos will grow bigger if planted at the right time.

I agree with photos. Just never seen it with autos.
