Running low on my home made 'Bloom Boost fertilizer', also known as 'Fermented Fruit Juice' (FFJ), so I decided to get the blender out and make a new batch.

This is directly stolen from here http://theunconventionalfarmer.com/recipes/bloom-fertilizer/, with some explanations as to why it works, cos I can't be arsed............

I don't think any of this is an exact science, I've followed their basic recipe, but added a little more sugar than them, due to the fact I've added the cannabis bud and broccolli, which don't contain as much natural sugars as fruit.View attachment 3791305

All the ingredients are organic, not sure if that's important or not, just personal choice and the tomatoes were grow by me, they're absolutely gorgeous, so I've only used the ones that have been attacked by pests.

The organic molasses jars I get are 740g, which is just under half the weight of my other ingredients, so I decided to just add the full jar.

Everything was blended up and mixed together.........didn't get photo's of this, cos my camera went to a safe place.......I'm messy and clumsy, luckily I had no major mishaps this time.

Then I added a Tbsp of lacto serum, this is optional because the microbes present on the fruit and in the air would ferment the material. But this just ensures the microbes are balanced in your favour and should speed things up a little bit,

When everything was mixed up, I transferred to my homemade ferment bottle with improvised air-locks.View attachment 3791303
I think they recommend around 10-14 days on the website, but I'll let this go until I stop seeing bubbles in the air-lock, pretty good sign that the ferment has finished and the mixture has stabilised.

Edit............Just realised, looking at the date of my last ferment on the label, that the stuff I'm using now is over a year old. It still smells good and my plants are still loving it!
Interesting concoction you have going there very different from the Banana/Papaya/Squash recipe from the unconventional farmer that I use.

It's not even 9am yet, but today's gonna be a cracker, a can feel it.

1st, woke up to the great news that the cash I stuffed in an envelope and recklessly sent across the Atlantic to 'Rocky Mountain Seed Bank' made it a few days ago, my order has been processed and is on it's way, here's why I'm so excited...........the order

Green Lotus × 1
$77.00

Salmon River OG × 1
10 regular seeds
$80.00

Space Monkey × 1
$77.00

Lazy Lightning × 1
$77.00

Cocoon × 1
$77.00

2nd........just been to the post office to pick up a parcel, 2 kg of crabshell meal has arrived

3rd.........just received a text telling me my 5kg of neem meal will be here this afternoon, my regular source had sold out and I'd been really struggling to find an alternative, then came across these - http://www.houseofmistry.com/greenit-neem-fertiliser-2kg-554................basically a human health shop that sells nothing to do with horticulture, except for Neem fertiliser, at less than half the price I'd originally been paying, what a find!!!

.............There's a chance my Mr Nice seeds order might turn up in the regular mail too

UK area I take it with the time zone.

Those are some very expensive seeds Oo Sure sound nice by the names. I will have to have a look online at that seed bank cant say I have come across it before.

Wish seeds were legal here but unfortunately they are as illegal as any other part of the plant which makes obtaining seeds tricky and quite nerve wrecking so now days I just grip a clone of whatever is going from a friend.

Yeah, UK based, buying seeds is totally legal here for 'souvenir' purposes only, LOL

.........yes, they're quite expensive, but not when you consider the genetics in there and the prices some other companies are charging...........I'll also add that those prices work out much cheaper than buying from a UK based seedbank for seeds from the smae breeders and the selection is better, you can't get those strains from any of the EU based banks

Lookin good, What strains are they?
The two smaller plants at the front are AMS clones from GHSC and the two in the rear are AMS X Local Swazi basically some seeds found on the original AMS plant that poped and were female.
Its funny that the clones are smaller than the plants grown from seed but as they were sprouted once the AMS was about 15cm high but apparently root bound plants are trouble once transplanting so next time ll ensure that the clones are grown in an Airpot to prevent the plants roots spiraling or if that was unavoidable then use a knife to make a few 2cm cuts to encourage root development.

When we bought seeds a few years back we just decided to go to the coke a cola version and bought from GHSC as they were very cost effective and sold a mix pack of 5 seeds each being a different fem strain. Since then they have been kept as clones with a friend and he currently has about 7 small mothers going that we kind of keep recycling. Would be nice to expand but I cant keep any mothers where I am due to space concerns and he is already at the max so would have to kill off some to incorporate new strains a hard choice....

My friend has a nice large garden so every year he gets a few seeds in the out door plants and I quite like to take those gremlins and experiment with them as in most cases they have been crossed with a local Swazi strain which is a sativa strain.
