No, not that kind of experience........more about that but first a cute little story:
My wife (Ploy) and I own a .8 acre vegetable and fruit farm in Thailand. We were clearing one area of mostly planted eucalyptus and some local volunteers from seed. She pointed out three young but valuable teak trees and a couple of other trees that should be saved. She pointed out one tree that she said gave her an itchy rash whenever she rubbed up against it and told me to get rid of them. I cut them down, saved the trunks for future projects, and dried and eventually burned the leaves.
Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago when I began hearing about the govt plan to list kratom as a schedule 1 drug. I'd heard of kratom in relation to big busts in Thailand but knew nothing about it and decided to do some research. Looking at pics of the plant the first ones seemed somewhat familiar, then pics of the full grown trees were a revelation. I suspect anyone reading this far knows what was revealed. I had chopped down a bunch of well developed kratom trees.
End of story.......Not! That kratom tree is a tough dude, within two weeks every stump had at least three fast growing suckers on it.
Now what I need to know is the exact process of harvesting the leaves, things like which leaves are best, do you crush the entire leaf or just use the veins? Basic stuff, anyone know the process?
