mounting holes on 2 opposite side just like the old heatsinks.
Also 4 holes in front. Current stock is pre drilled for 100mm glass lens.
Khatod SST X coming in 2 weeks.
Price? :bigjoint:

I'm trying to see the price difference between going this route and copying my other light, vs the boards you and @Stephenj37826 were showing us recently.......?

Which system do you think would produce better results too have those boards been tested by anyone?

No tests. This is new stuff. I am making a veg lamp for myself. Thinking of going with 1 board and 80 w dimmable driver.
For tomato tent thinking of a 2 board with a HLG 120 i have.
Boards $75 each

What heat sinks will you will be using for that? You think that would be good for a 20"x36"x60" closet tent?

And how many board would you run with which driver for a 4x4-5x5 area?

Idea,
for a cheap passive heatsink, use an aluminum baking pan and put bags of water or gel into it.
IMO the pin heatsinks are very affordable especially for the money that is invested in the DIY cob builds. I really love the round pin passive heatsinks for the sexy appeal they have to them and i'm sure many others do too. Great idea for those in a bind though.

SST X comes in packing to avoid shipping damage.
Good thing because my SST120's came all smashed to hell. They were all smashed on one side from the USPS. Had to straighten almost every pin on at least one side of the heatsinks. BTW Robin did do his part and they were packaged very well on his side.

@robincnn looking to order some heatsinks from you. Just realized where your business is located. I used to live around the corner on Broadway. if I order from you, can you use those mini banana breads from Cheryl's as packing material?!
Will you be getting more of the sst105 Vero 18, clu48 compatible heatSinks in? says you're sold out. thnkx

Funny, in the cpu overclocking world, pinfins were the rage for about 6 months Slabs of copper. copper thin fins, you name it. That was 10 years ago.Heatpipe technology came next and took over, and rules the aircooled niche. Why aren't we seeing decent heat pipe tech yet? HP and IBM were designing high performance heatsinks long before they hit the pc market at that!

The problem with splay design is the anodization does not look as good. does not have an impact on performance.
