5° @75wpc and 8°@105 sounds pretty considerable. Infact that's almost a beatdown.
Durp Its All Relative To Weight Correct??? And The SST-X Weighs 35 Grams More And In My Neck Of The Woods 35 Grams Isn't Chicken Scratch
No tests. This is new stuff. I am making a veg lamp for myself. Thinking of going with 1 board and 80 w dimmable driver.Price?
I'm trying to see the price difference between going this route and copying my other light, vs the boards you and @Stephenj37826 were showing us recently.......?
Which system do you think would produce better results too have those boards been tested by anyone?
What heat sinks will you will be using for that? You think that would be good for a 20"x36"x60" closet tent?No tests. This is new stuff. I am making a veg lamp for myself. Thinking of going with 1 board and 80 w dimmable driver.
For tomato tent thinking of a 2 board with a HLG 120 i have.
Boards $75 each
IMO the pin heatsinks are very affordable especially for the money that is invested in the DIY cob builds. I really love the round pin passive heatsinks for the sexy appeal they have to them and i'm sure many others do too. Great idea for those in a bind though.Idea,
for a cheap passive heatsink, use an aluminum baking pan and put bags of water or gel into it.
I was talking about heatsinks for the boards, pin fins cant be used.IMO the pin heatsinks are very affordable especially for the money that is invested in the DIY cob builds. Good thing because my SST120's came all smashed to hell. They were all smashed on one side from the USPS. Had to straighten almost every pin on at least one side of the heatsinks. BTW Robin did do his part and they were packaged very well on his side.SST X comes in packing to avoid shipping damage.
Awww. ok got ya!!I was talking about heatsinks for the boards, pin fins cant be used.

The problem with splay design is the anodization does not look as good. does not have an impact on performance.
