Got a question for. So there's what 9 weeks left of the year.

If I switch to 12-12 in 3 weeks time. And run it for a month. Do you think it would have anything worth drying. Or should I expect to run it for a month and a half.

I kinda wanted to have something to smoke of my own growing before the year was out.

No. Definitely let it finish out. Patience is key with this.

Unless you want to take some early bud, leave more, flip back to veg, monster crop, and reflower. I would just let it finish. Early bud isn't worth the effort.

Remember that FIM I did... Of all the things. A simple cut. And I still balls it up. Untouched leaves started to poke from the middle. I didn't cut low enough.

I decided to have a look under the top growth. Found the first node. And applied sterile scissors.20161029_181415.jpg
I also thinned out the greenery getting very little light. So that way it can focus on the top colas more.

Found a new project piece. Needs some work. 150cm externally. 138cm inside. 42cm width and depth. Gives me about 75cm factoring in extraction gear. Bucket height. Light height. And distances from light.

I'm going to ramp up lights this time. 70w per 5m @ 20m. Along with my 90w GrowSmart 135 LED. Add in a 4" extraction fan. And add a light proof vent over the filtered intake hole.

Found a 28sq cm water drum. Cut the top off. And gave it a light bleach scrub.

5th of November update.

My plant is still alive (Gobsmacked). And getting closer to the flip...

Started changing my light from veg to bloom yesterday. And decreased the day cycle by 2 hours to 16-8. I won't touch it again till next Friday. Where I'll subtract another 2hrs of daylight and further set the lights towards bloom spectra.

It's not all rainbows and puppies though. Something has been nibbling the leaves. And the pH got out of whack again. So yeah... Now I've got yellowing, claw like new growth.

The thing is. I can't find what's been eating my plant. I've looked under the leaves. Checked stems. And haven't noticed anything crawling or flying around my grow cab. Or the from bucket. It's also not on any of the new leaves. Just those that are older.1478278551357-421317018.jpg 1478278551357-421317018.jpg

Any ideas? 20161105_024200.jpg 20161105_024054.jpg

Probably fungus gnats hiding in your soil. Your plants are slightly overwatered.

Did you top or fim? Alot of times those outer fans get pinched along with the newest growth and its not really noticeable untill the plants get bigger.

Really low humidity can also cause problems like that.

Also, after flipping to flower its important to not overwater as the plant gets less light.

My guess is another leaf could of cut that leaf from fans going ?? lol fungus gnats now i herd it all.
From looking at the faded leafs either overwartering or ph swing

Humidity is between 35-60 depending on weather. Cab temps are between 17 and 30°c.

I'm pretty sure I didn't nick any leaves. I was careful when I made the cut. It was a fim to begin with. But I didn't cut low enough. Found out a few days later I'd missed the inner leaves. And decided to just cut the entire top bit off. Rather than to try and recut that area.

Yeah the ph was way out with the last test of the runoff. Even though id ph'd the water/feed the last few times I'd done it.

We do have a cat. But he won't go anywhere near my room. He's afraid of men.

Kitties love cannabis though, could be a cut or a pot grab, like the leave got caught in between two pots.

8th of November 2016...

After yet another runoff reading of pH 8. Despite watering/feeding with a pH of 6. I figured I should really get a good look at the soil deeper into the pot.

Well... I didn't end up doing the test as I'd originally planned. Because I discovered that my mystery bean was root bound barely centimeters from the surface. Which I figured was also why it's so damn tiny.

I decided to replant into an old, much more roomy waste paper basket that was collecting dust. About 8Ltrs. Vs the 5Ltrs it was in.

Now. I'm curious about a few things. If I'm watering at pH 6. And my soil reads at pH 8. Why does the runoff not come out at 7? Instead of the 8 I've been getting.

Also. I've been trying to get my soil down to about pH 6. But it always seems to be fairly alkaline. Never reading any lower than about pH 8. What's up with that? I'm using Epsom salts which says it's got sulphur in it. Or rather Magnesium Sulphate... I think. Is the Epson salt not ideal for this task? Or should I be using soluble sulphur?

Last two questions.

My next cabinet will most likely be a fridge with about 40cm W x 40cm D x 140cm H. Or 90cm height if you take into consideration buckets and other parts. If I use a 15-20 Ltr bucket. Is that going to be enough room for the roots in this space?

And if I did end up using a space this size. How many watts of (LED) lighting should I have for optimum yields? I'm fairly certain my 90w ufo won't cut it.

Sorry about the longass posts. I really don't know how to condense what I want to write.

That's the thing. I feed it every second time. There's usually two days between water/feed. That's about how long it takes to dry up roughly an inch from the surface.

But the water that comes from the pot is always quite alkaline.

This is what my mystery bean looks like these days.

Pretty sure the yellowing is a deficiency caused by bad pH. As the runoff usually comes out at about pH 8. Despite being watered at pH of about 6.

Temps are still between 19 - 28°c. With rh of 35 - 63%.

What do you guys think? @moondance @VenomGrower6990 @Olive Drab Green

Also. I won't use this bucket again. Drops way too much crap.

It looks good, but you're overwatering moderately, and I dunno if the fading is from overwatering, underfeeding or both. Let your soil dry out, and that bug issue will probably resolve, too, as it probably comes from fungus gnats. I'm having a slight issue with the little bastards, myself.

Otherwise, really nice plant, man. Seriously.
