Hey what's up guys just have a quick question here but first why I'm asking, so about ten weeks ago I decided to grow mephistos sodk and just had to chop her a tad early cause her smell was way to strong!! I got a carbon filter (4"x12") about 4 weeks ago and it helped but a just a little bit I got my room tight as I could and set it up with a 240cfm fan but could still smell her all over the neighborhood which is scary as fuck, I'm still new and have grown 8 plants before this 4 different strains and they didn't smell like that at all, now my question is are there any auto strains that I can purchase with the comfort of knowing they won't stink like that? Not sure if it was just the sodk or what but I have mephistos skyrone stomper, and Menage a Tyrone, fastbuds rhino ryder and hso blue dream and would like to start the mephistos but now paranoid about smell, just looking for suggestions or what your personal experience has been

I've noticed that the blueberry strains tend have light odor.. Smell like blueberry's =)

I've got two NL right now that are reeking, so don't go with NL
Cool deal Ive wanted to check some of those out and will, all my others before still stank but only in the grow room, the sodk tho (maybe it's my newbness) was just wow, loudest shit I've ever smelled and traveled pretty far... just too risky for me, thanks for the reply!

Yo hans, if your growing quality bud it's always going to smell unfortunately.. Iv got just 1 trainwreck auto in my bedroom cupboard as we speak,it's been flowering for a month. Just an odorsock filter and 6in centrifugal for the exhaust.. Also using the LST method.. Il attach a pic.
Anyway so when I have to open the cupboard up to work on the plant, it doesnt take long to stink the whole house out...only a little house but still, just 1 plant does this. I can't smell a thing when the cupboard is closed up and running, even outside which is where the exhaust is vented. .

Id say you will find a strain with less stench but it will still smell man. and the more it smells the tastier those nugs will be, which is what everyone wants right? .
I reckon you try achieve no odor through your exhaust system.. u need to create some negative pressure in the grow room so that all the air is dragged through your carbon filter and vented out, otherwise if your room ain't airtight the unfilted air escapes out.
Iv had the this problem in bigger grows aswell as my cupboard and found that once I had negative pressure and good enough filter the problem was gone..
u might need a bigger fan and filter, or if u can make your room 100% airtight somehow.
You'll figure it, don't give up and get those trees growing again

Thanks for the replys! I think I found my problem, I have just a duct fan with a carbon filter taped (really well) together instead of an actual inline. Also the filter is rated for 140cfm my duct fan is 240 so I believe there is too much airflow going through the filter and it's not creating negative pressure cause my room is 9'x7' and 8' tall not even close to enough air flow to create negative pressure, I now plan to get a speed controller for my fan and also get a bigger filter that's rated for 240cfm and hook up another one and hopefully that should work!

I built my room and the door was short but is perfect size for fresh air to come in 2"x30" that's the only place, I can post pics later tonight I believe I have the filter in the wrong location as well

Try and close the gap up where u said the door is short Because 2x30" would be to large to create neg pressure.. air will still draw in between the door and its frame.. can any air get in from any where else? Is the room dry wall? How'd u build it?

I have a piece of insulation foam I can glue on the bottom of the door that will tighten it up perfectly and no other gaps or places air can escape, it's a room inside a room so I shut the lights out and kept my blurple on and that's how I found every little space I could and filled with caulk or silicone what ever I had,
The room is plywood on the outside and regular ol batted insulation on the inside with thick plastic wrapping the insulation, it's built out of 2x4s and normal framing 24 on center

Pineapple express smells amazing in flower like fruit stay away feom ak47 as well shit smells like a skunk died im my room

So my shortstuff #1 has been flowering for about a week and you still have to get right up to it to smell anything. No odor control. It's a hybrid of northern lights and william wonder. I'll keep you updated on the smell or lack there of.
