But their cold tollerance depends on the breed

Well the chickens are doin fine.cold don't seem to be bothering then .. Fucking asshole still comes out and does his rooster thing. Like at 2 a.m. 4a.m. 5a.m. 6a.m. all the time.. This rooster doesn't shut up ever

The other thing to think about in the winter time is boredom. Your birds will be horribly bored if they are snowed in for days and weeks. To get them moving around, I loop a string through the rafter and tie large 3" wood screw about a foot or two off the ground. I screw an apple or cabbage and let it swing. They literally will play tether-ball for an hour taking one peck everytime it swings their way.

FYI- They couldn't care less about this in the summer.

Has anyone used these cheap incubators off of eBay.? I'm trying my luck at it again, tryed once with a homemade one but I couldn't maintain a stable temp.

Keep temps between 99°f or 37.2°c.and 101°f or 38.3°c for two week's keeping humidity around 50%to 60% then the third week increase humidity and lower temp some.. Does this sound about right?
