They were warned by their own Attorney General in 1968 that any settlement building would contravene Article 4 of the UN Charter they ignored his advice and this is the consequence, but are blaming everyone else, except themselves.the best thing one friend can do for another is to tell them to stop being a dick.
the settlements were an example of israel being a dick, rather than just defending themselves from a group of multi-generational "refugees" who elected a terrorist network to lead them with the stated goal of wiping israel off the map.
sticking up for one blindly is what folks like you do with hitler, or the new king, trump.
If the resolution was structured to prevent new settlements I could see the US voting to pass it. That indication to BiBi may have been able to force his hand some by limiting support and possibly furthering 2State negotiations ie global support waning and limiting boundaries.the best thing one friend can do for another is to tell them to stop being a dick.

I'd rather you answered the questions I politely put to you earlier, rather than launch another of your attacks on Obama..?If the resolution was structured to prevent new settlements I could see the US voting to pass it. But- that resolution contains much more than limiting new developments and effectively "takes".
Our administration helped broker the dirty deal and helped pass it and pretends to have clean hands. Obama, not very "ally" like with Israel throughout his tenure basically gave them a fuck you on his way out.
In my book if their a friend, then ya, tell em to stop being a dick.
We were "dicks" in the way we told our ally Israel-don't be a dick.
I'm trying to make my point real clear. The US should support Israel as an ally until it's not.I'd rather you answered the questions I politely put to you earlier, rather than launch another of your attacks on Obama..?
Cheer, mate..
OK, I'll try another approach. You have another 'ally' in that region, Saudi Arabia.I'm trying to make my point real clear. The US should support Israel as an ally until it's not.
You have politely put a lot of questions to me.
Espionage/intelligence gathering is rampant.
Dermers activity is par for the course of politics.
The senior partner in the US/Israeli alliance would be the US.
good luck with that.I'd rather you answered the questions I politely put to you earlier, rather than launch another of your attacks on Obama..?

Doesn't sound very 'patriotic' to me. More of of a loyal citizen of Israel than an American, despite that 'Make America great again' logo on his profile.I've actually asked him who rules America, because the conspiracy nuts should go crazy with this, not surprised by their silence though...good luck with that.
that bag of shit and limp spaghetti noodles loves conspiracy theories and hates black people.
Insofar as allies go, yes, absolutely. Treat allies as allies. My issue in this situation is the "politics" of how this was accomplished and more so that the resolution goes far beyond just condemning new settlements and that's not in the mainstream.Trust has been compromised and it's coming to light.OK, I'll try another approach. You have another 'ally' in that region, Saudi Arabia.
If King Abdullah started freaking out over a decision that went contrary to his Kingdom that the US or Obama 'orchestrated'. Would your response be similar to the line you have taken, re Israel?
Patience please, thank youDoesn't sound very 'patriotic' to me. *sighs*
My, you are handy with the epithets tonight!good luck with that.

If they are a country that likes to say 'Fuck off, blokes', then perhaps the UN is the wrong organisation for them to remain in, after all those resolutions they have blithely ignored in the past seem to have caught up with them at last. They aren't taking the experience kindly.Insofar as allies go, yes, absolutely. Treat allies as allies. I don't support Israel building new settlements and much of what has been done by them I also find wrong. You've posted about it. I'm not a blind "friend" of them.
Isreal as a nation seems to have no problem saying to the world, fuck off blokes. They're gonna do it their way, damn the consequences.
But I do think the best current possible solution to peace there is 2 states. The US, as a "trusted" ally may have quite a part in having Israels ear, reasoning with them. Also with the Palestines, reassuring them that Israel is sincere.
I see that possible process now as damaged. All the more so now with Trump as I don't see him lending any reasonableness to a possible peace there.
Soon to be tried & tested on Gaza, no doubt....What has Israel done for us lately? Bought some of our weaponry?
good thing you voted for him then.more so now with Trump as I don't see him lending any reasonableness to a possible peace there.
just giving you what you voted for.My, you are handy with the epithets tonight!
I couldn't hazard a guess about them thinking the world owes them something. There's been the Partition Plan, the 1948 war, the June war. They want their cake and eat it too, that's been mentioned. If they are a country that likes to say 'Fuck off, blokes', then perhaps the UN is the wrong organisation for them to remain in, after all those resolutions they have blithely ignored in the past seem to have caught up with them at last. If they cant obey international law, its no surprise that others taken to task for smaller infringements say, WTF..!!! & get the shit bombed out of them, mainly by the US and its NATO allies.
Do you think that they think the world 'owes' them or something?
OK, I suppose YOU believe in International Law, after all the UN was the brainchild of the Truman administration.I couldn't hazard a guess about them thinking the world owes them something. I'm such a patient soul, aren't I..?ArcticGranite, your modus operandi is to deflect and attempt to regale us with outlandish leaps in logic. Why? Why even bother?
