I run two D-Papillons in 3x4... 2x4 sounds reeeeally small, but I guess if you can deal with the temperatures. Kind of a waste of light though, you'd be better off putting two COB LED bars in there.
exactly. 315 is a poor choice for a 2x4. they are made to do a 3x3. super intense light in the center and faded edges. bar led,s would be perfect but are usually a bit expensive for good ones. for example 2 bml rails are a grand. I run three 135 watt (90 watt actual draw according to the kill-a-watt) GROW-PRO-US leds in my 2x4 early veg tent. late veg is as follows... 4x4 tent, growers choice 630 de cmh 4100k lamp in a lg ac/de fixture powered by a galaxy select a watt ballast. the room is sealed. the vortex s-line 6 in fan on a speed controller at 50% is the cooling fan. flower room is 8x8x8 with 4 Deablo 1000k fixtures soon to be replaced with the new growers choice 630 GC with the 3KR-Red lamp

I now have three, 3x3 tents, full of LEC goodness. After sampling the final results of my first crop under LEC, I quickly went out and grabbed another light from SunSystem, this time it was the "new and improved" model. Which means they added an on/off switch and the ability to daisy chain up to three units.

(On the left is the SunSystem 315 V2, the HydroFarm Phantom CHM is in the middle, and the SunSystem 315 V1 is on the right)

Put them 3 lamps under ONE tent and let them 3 lec's really loose!!! Serious.

Excuse me if i didnt see it bro...but what did ya cook them 20 zips under? A 630 or a 315? Either way its a great yield. With the 630 its getting mpre than what most get on a 600 watt single ended hps. And if its 315....thats a real game changer. Thanks.
Sun System 315W LEC in my 3x3x7 tent.
Details of this organic autoflower grow are in my Journal.

Yes, I'm blown away by this grow myself.

WOW. 20.zips off of a 315 lec is amazing. Makes me rethink some things. I could ditch my Gavita 6/750 hps completely. I was thinking of mixing the 2 but if people are nailing 10 to 20 zips with these lamps at 315 watts....damn. That changes everything.

Wonder why all the store reviews and so called experts say these are great for supplemental lighting with hps but lack the power alone for big buds? Seems to me ya dont even need hps in the grow room.

I'm thankful I didn't listen to the "experts"...lol.
My local hydro store guy educated me about these lights and I bought one from him. Glad I did.
Plus credit goes to Mephisto Genetics. They have great autoflower strains.

Does anyone know the better orientation of the bulb? Is it better in a vertical or a horizontal position? If its horizontal i can just but a bunch of Ceramic Science conversion kits with a bulb adapter and ballast. I got a bunch of horizontal wing reflectors i havent used in years. But if people are nailing the yields with the vert type reflectors i will have to pony up the cash and buy those sweet looking Sun System hoods with the ballast built in.

Everywhere I read they say vertical is ideal for this light.

Thats what i thought. I kinda want about 4 to 8 of them Sun System vert lec hoods anyways. This is gonna be an expensive gamble but iam going with my gut and all the reports ive read on the forums.
My hydro guy is an honest person. Great independent local store with a good reputation. He's an experienced grower and just raved about the results he and others are getting. That sold me and now it looks like he was correct. :-)
