very nice setup! Few questions?

1) Have you considerered hydro? You will be wasting 0 water. You will not have to lug water. And the plants will grow much beter in smaller containter/plant space

2) if insiting on soil, have you considered putting sand on top of the soil? Every soil grow I have done and see has containted some sort of bugs that get stuck in the buds. Sometimes pests too. They come out of the soil. Sand on top kills them all. Makes everything look clean and pretty too.

Just talking from exp. sucks to run for 8-12 weeks soil just to chop with bugs and fuckery due to not putting some sand on em
1. No interest interest in hydro or cash cropping.
2. I want some beneficial bugs, so no sand.
3. Gardeners of any variety should have an integrated pest management plan.

You are troll as a mother fucker. This thread is in the organic section...If you read it you would know I'm doing large beds because I feel it's more conducive to the advantages of healthy soil microbiology than smaller containers.

But you wanna pop on and talk about hydro and bug prevention?

Anyone with anything to say about the subject is welcome but I don't know what you're angle is. And I'm suspicious as fuck of you.

lol, so how them beds doing rasta? They look nice and clean
Looking good so far! Just waiting for them to shoot up so I can knock em back down! I'll be topping them at least a few times to get the full bushes I need. The blueberries and lapk are gonna bush out fast but I have some concerns about the opium strain. It doesn't seem to be as hearty a grower as the others. We will see though it might just take a second to get established.

those beds with the cages look great!

I'm curious.... do you use the cages to keep them from growing into each other? because ever since i've made the switch to ROLS, my stems have never been stronger and I don't need to use any stakes for budding anymore.

LOL at the troll... i don't even think he was trolling.... i just think he has zero clue about real organics.

That's why I surf threads like these. I don't have enough time to try every approach to growing the plant, but I can still follow along in places like this and learn something valuable.

Based off his other thread that I looked at right before he posted on mine, he is some kind of information or marketing seeking trollbot. Not the same as the traditional troll, more like a pop up ad version of a person! Lol.

I use the cages for just the opposite! I weave the big branches to the outside so the interior of the cage can rise up and I just got a big bush full of tops and healthy nugs from top to bottom. Some plants might end up trained into other's cages even! I use the cages in a similar manner that you would use a trellis in your veggie garden, as a tool to train the plant as it grows.

Do you watch South Park? the pop up ad troll is relative to one of the episodes of the last 2 seasons. so that gave me a good chuckle

interesting with the cages man :) maybe i'll give one or two a try sometime soon.

Haha definitely made me think of the South Park episode!

Cages are my shit I use them in all my grows! They are great aids for LST and eliminate the need for stakes. Though like you said...Usually my plants are strong enough to not need much staking. But my buds can get pretty heavy and need some!e support here and there.

These blueberries are getting big enough to start training to the outside of the cages.

So are these LA pure kush
IMG_20170109_215716.jpg
These headband are moving a little slower but they had a bad case of broad mites so they were behind the others to begin with.
IMG_20170109_215603.jpg
These opiums are slow growers but I think it might just be the strain (this is my first time with it)

The middle tub headbands are doing good but the little tub with the mother tongue looks pretty shitty (she was the bitch that brought in the broad mites). She looks a lot better than she did before transplant and treatment but she has not been fast to recover.

man watering those things must be a CHORE! or .. if you have a hose just set it in there and wait...cant wait to see these crazy things in flower!
I got a pump and a wand that you can see in the corner of the bottom photo lol. I just hook up a hose to the pump, drop the pump in my rez, use the wand and listen to my audio books. Takes about 30 mins to water the whole room.
