This. Be very careful with UV or UVB. Shut it off before you go in the room.

I suggest a separate circuit for UV lighting with an outside the growroom switch so shutting it off is easy and convenient.
UV in humans is 'good' for sunburns, skin cancer and macular degeneration. Not worth it.

I'm still on the fence with adding UV or far reds. I'm going to hold out until I get a few finished grows with just the QB's and see how things go. Honestly everything I'm seeing so far is outstanding!

The 320 driver will give you extra ummmmph if and when you want it. If go that route I guess. Total worth the extra 20-30 bucks. The drivers hold up well efficiency wise dimmed pretty low.
The 320 doesnt do as well as others but still if you aren't planning on running below 40% then

The current lens is glued onno,half of those are from rahz's sale but i do need them to finish the other side of my room/shop.
what holds these lenses in place? man a one piece lense for these boards would be nice,prolly sell like hotcakes to

Some benefit matching one single q-board to one driver, voltage is not high like series connection. boards get power independent.
however Low Power drivers like HLG-80H are expensive and less efficient.
HLG-240H-1050 can run 2 boards in series for 3 times the power for 2ce the cost of a HLG-80H
Driver pulls what ever the LED can take + driver losses.
A type drivers can push a little more than what they are rated for. 200W at wall with hlg-185h-1400a seems ok.

GrowMau5 did a really cool fairly recent video. I think where he side by side tested Jacks with a high end nute like and Jack's lost by like 1/8th gram or something. GrowMau5 added some reds and blues to his kick ass rig and said he did not see much with the red.

New Heatsink (side view) SLATE 2
2.4Kg/Meter density. Taller and serrated fins for boards running at higher power.
New heatsink will be ready in 10 days. should be in stock end of this month.
Hole patterns will be same for both as board size is same.
New 3X Board heastink using same extrusion as SLATE 1, just longer. SLATE xx
Limited samples of new heatsink . same extrusion as 'slate 1', just 3 times longer to fit 3 boards on single heatsink. 10-14 days.

1 pcs of this optics comes as 3 small pieces joined together, unless they break in shipping. I just consider it as 1 pcs since that is what i select as quantity during checkout.Hello again peeps.
When getting optics for these, is it one per row of diodes? So I would need 8 per board?

Napalm D wanted lots of extra power as he will use the same lamp later in 3x3 or a 4x4.
Captain's lamp with HLG 240-2100's has enough power.

You can use a HLG-185-1400 with 2 or 4 boards in parallel
You can use a HLG-185-700 with 2 in series or 2x2=4 boards parallel-series wired
HLG-240 will be $10-$15 more but gives you more power. Just in case you need it
2 boards on a HLG 240-1050 series wired
3 boards on a HLG 240-2100 parallel wired
4 boards on a HLG 240-1050 parallel-series wired

All 8 holes are the same for mounting the COB.
Driver mounting holes have moved as the new heastink is more wide. The holes at each of the 4 corners are not there in new high power heatsink . Those have moved onto fin as highlighted in red
