The type you were talking about that gets reused and builds more fertilizer. What style are you referring to the No-Till?

I'm liking the ease of the coco dtw. They're fed 3x per day and all I do is adjust the pH maybe every 3 days. I'm testing a 14 day no hands right now. Meaning I'm seeing what happens if left unattended for 2 weeks. I'm going on vacation for probably the last 2 weeks of this grow and want to see if they can stay healthy for that long without a rez change.Looking really good. I ran dwc scrog my first grow on here and loved it. Did a soil grow. 5 bushes lol. I prefer the symmetry of scrog. Tiger, you've inspired me to go back to scrog... Maybe I'll try a soil scrog this time. Happy growing.... I'm subbed
How long do you plan to flower? You may return with them still not ready. I found that out this last grow lls. Supposed to be an 8 week. Turned to 10 almost 11 week.I'm liking the ease of the coco dtw. They're fed 3x per day and all I do is adjust the pH maybe every 3 days. I'm testing a 14 day no hands right now. From everything that I've read from other growers it says the C99 is ready in like 50 some days so I waited to flower longer than I wanted to so I didn't miss the harvest window. If they're still not ready, that's OK. I just didn't want to come home to over ripeness. How long do you plan to flower? You may return with them still not ready. I found that out this last grow lls. Also, I'm sure as long as you got the Rez size to water like you do, you'll be fine 2 weeks.
Ahh OK. That makes sense. I'm definitely have a problem regulating heat in there. Its been as high as 88 and as low as 68. I had to put a dehumidifier in there and it seems it generates heat also.Ok I understand. I would definitely put a heater in that room at night to keep it a 10 degree difference or lower. The more of a difference in Night and Day temps the longer the inter-nodal distances will be ( longer stretchier colas ). I currently have a small heater I have to turn on in my room at night. I have a thermostat gauge that tells me what the highs and lows of the room were and I adjust the heater accordingly. I wouldn't say there is a ideal height you want off of the screen. All strains stretch differently so it would be hard to give a broad brush answer. Most of the SCROG's I have run are usually ( 6-8" at the most ) above the netting, but that is a ball park.
Well my space is set up kinda strange but its the only space I had. I'll try to explain... I have a 5'x 5' room in my garage that used to house a bladder tank for a well. It is under my 5' wide staircase the leads up to my living room. There is an opening in there with access to the crawlspace under the first level of the house. That crawl space has all of my ductwork in it Which I'm sure leaks so on its own, this room stays pretty close to what I have the house temp set at which is 67 but I have a little oil filled electric heater in there to bump it up to around 75. This room because of the steps has a height restriction so this is my veg room. I then built a wall on that same side of the garage to make my flower room. Its sealed pretty tight. I ran a 6" duct with a duct fan in it from the veg room to it to pull fresh air and heat. This is getting long. So anyways the LEDs are putting out enough heat that they are raising the temp on warmer days to in the 80's. Then at lights out its cooling off due to it being winter down to in the 60's. This is only my 3rd grow and first one in the winter so my setup needs some tweaking as far as hvac. I had a portable ac unit in there in the summer and that did pretty good however I think it raised the humidity making it necessary for me to use a dehumidifier which in turn raised the heat. Not sure really what my solution will bill. Sorry for the long winded reply.Ok that is the main problem causing the stretching ( more than they should ) I think. 80 is the highest you want to go in your grown room. Preferably no higher than 78 and no lower than 10 degrees lower than that. Is the AC not cold enough? or not powerful enough?
Day 7. Hopefully its over soon. I opened the door today it looks like they grew 3 inches overnight. No worries, helps me to get a better picture. Yea winter growing is a different beast entirely depending on where the grow is and surrounding temps. From the sound of things it is just something you will have to play with. One thing I noticed this SCROG ( I am in the middle of ) the stretching stopped at around day 10 of Flower for me. Now this isn't to say it will be the exact same time for you ( different strains etc..), but at least it will give you a little relief to know the " stretch " will soon be over. Just out of curiosity what day are you on?
You should have probably flipped them when I suggested you to!Day 7. Hopefully its over soon. I opened the door today it looks like they grew 3 inches overnight.
I definitely would have liked to but I figured a sloppy scrog would be better than harvesting too late. You should have probably flipped them when I suggested you to!
Thanks Connoisseur! I'll do that.Oh Ok TigerPaws. I wouldn't worry too much now. Do your best with the temps and im sure the " stretch" will be over very soon. Keep us updated
