Nobody has mentioned the Cxm22 F3 that is readily available in 36v. Are they not worth talking about? Seems they would be the answer for some of the constant current driver problems. They don't seem too bad of a performer for their price.

f3 arent worth talking about IMO, specs werent all that

clm22 are the 36V version on cxm22 and is pretty close in performance

I'm planning 5 lights with 20 cobs each. 10 flowering chips and 10 veg chips with 1 driver serving each set. All in one light and controlable complete spectrum is the goal. Suppose I went with 50v cobs and 2 hlg600 drivers per light. 10-27k and 10- 4K clu48 1818. What voltage driver would be best? Would current resisters also be needed?
Heatsinks would be 133mm fin type from kingbrite.
Cobkits, could you hook me up with these chips?

Have you vegged with a warm COB led yet. You may not what to waste your time with 2 spectrums? The warm COB will still stack nodes tighter than any MH/CMH.

Bringing this back in. So what is the difference between a luminus cxm-32 vs citi1825 or citi3618. How do they compare. They seem so similar like identical almost

there are differences between them

as far as dies the cxm32 is midway between the 1825 and 3618 (by my visual observation)

as far as ratings cxm32 and 1825 are similar @ 250-320W, only the 3618 goes out to 500W

as far as thermal resistance
1825 gen5 = 0.14 C/W
1825 gen6 = 0.13 C/W
cxm32 gen3= 0.10 C/W
3618 gen5 = 0.10 C/W
3618 gen6 = 0.095 C/W

i ran the cxm32s as a cursory test but not in the sphere yet.

im waiting on gen 6 of 1825 and 3618 in the same color i have my cxm32 sample to run in the sphere

they are all similar.

they are all great for 100W+ range

they are all overkill for 50W range where smaller chips do fine at a fraction of the cost

Ya specs do seem like in the happy middle--prices for cxm arent to bad bout the same as the citi 1825--I got the cxm-22 from you and still waiting to hook them up i have 24 and no heat sinks -_-. cdi is hooking me up with 40 ICELED ULTRA so those should do quite well and future proof hopefully. Those citi gen 6 specs look nice on those also.

Hey guys, im trying to understand about cobs, the new and what the cool guys are using. Im from brasil, and here is the place were everything is extremely expensive only enthusiast use leds...

So im studying everything as best as i can. I came across some 4 -clu48-1212 gen 5, (3 - 4000K and 1 -3500 both 90cri). Im using them on HLG 240h-54A, the only mean well driver i could find over here and im tired of chinese trash. I am using them on my veg tent ( about 7 square feet, before that 250MH and mag ballast)

Im starting to design the lights for my flower room. Its about 15 square feet, and i want to replace 1000 HPS, single ended and mag ballast( As my tropical country is extremely hot, i sent LOTS of energy with ac, in the summer outdoors is usually over 100-110 fahrenheit)

So i made an order with Cobkits, with :
1 clu48-1212 gen6, 3500k 80cri,
5 CXM 22 gen3 3000k 80cri,
some holders and reflectors,
Hlg-185h-48a.

My questions:
-With 5 clu48-1212, what driver will be better, 185h-48a or 240h-54a, any comments how i can max out the veg tent?
-Im thinking in ordering more 10 CXM 22 G3 making 15 of them. It will be a good setup?
-Want to go for a hlg 600 from mean well, what will be the best voltage 48 or 54 (with 15CXM)?
-What you think about instead 10 CXM22G3, 8 Vero29G7 52v?
-Cri, 80 or 90?

Efficiency and heat are very important, i need a lower utility bill.

As you can see, english is not my first or second language, sorry about my mistakes. Iff anyone could point me in the right direction, i want to learn more about it, some friends want to migrate to cob as well.

Tx for the time and im very happy rollitup is back online.
