DIY with Quantum Boards

It is supposed to be better. Who knows.
Any bets, how better or worse is Slate 2 compared to Slate 1 ?

Single board heatsinks are 310mm long
Doubles board heatsinks are 610mm and can hold 2 boards
Singles are easy to space evenly, doubles easier to work with.

How many watts will be 6 boards on 3 HLG-240H-C2100 and how many will be on 3 HLG-240H-C1050 ? I just want to make sure which drivers to order for my project. Thanks in advance
The same. It's just how you wire them. I like 1050 better as the boards are in series. Each driver will pull between 270--300 depending on driver type A or B and also individual drivers vary a little as well.

sooo , how watts per board is the HLG-240H-C1050 when running 2 boards in series ?
& how many watts would 2 boards run at each board on a HLG-320H-C1050 in series ?
would a 1400 work better for the above , sorry I get lost in figuring out the driver shit
I'm trying to get at the max wattage for each board running 2 boards per driver
I'll be using my own sink which is a sheet of AL 3/8" thick 11x26" & it will be completely covered with salvaged Mars2 sinks tim'ed & screwed to the top surface of the AL plate
every sq inch of the upper surface will be fins

for series wiring finding the board watts is just multiplying boards volts(109.5 in my case) x the amps or ma of the driver(1050 in this case) so 109.5 x 1.05=114.97w per board
in series wiring using the hlg320-1050 will not change the board watts, but you would leave alot of power on the table, its a waste imo

so 2 boards on a 320-1400 would run each board 153.3 watts ? going by that 1o9.5 volt figure you give
not a math guy head injury & dyslexia did a dbl whammy on my math skillz
if that's right then there's my driver

Thats pretty much max for this board, do you really want to push it that hard? Why not run it closer to 100-110 watts? you see what is being done with just 50 watts!

from page 1 of this thread it says the qb driven @ 1400ma is going to be around 112.6v for the test board so it sees about 157w per board, which brings down the lpw to around 158lpw so very close to cobs at that point.personally i think the 1050ma drives give a good balance of power and eff but then we look at @Budzbuddha and what he is doing with just 1 board and 5w per sq ft and maybe we dont need nearly the power some of us are looking to run.it almost makes me doubt my choice of 115w per board lol

The 2100/1050 parallel/series will give you same wattage per board.

No 1400 wouldn't work better.

How many boards/240 drivers are you going to put on that 11X26?
