Help! When to harvest!!??

hmmm, anyone else try this on tomatoes? basil?
why is fertilized to the end tobacco so much more harsh than tobacco not fertilized to the end?
the fertilized tobacco was greener, not bigger, and not better tasting, until a long cure. this would be my most accurate comparison, because its smoked, and its where marijuana users scored the whole "curing" bit.
MI laws make "curing" marijuana near impossible(for me) for uninterrupted patient supply.

for the money I'd think nutrient producers instead of tapering flowering nutes toward the end of flowering cycle
would ramp them up, sell more to users, and let them get better healthier tastier results too ?

Yeah I think so too it's all about money they figure milk you as much as possible before you go organics or just quit growing period

doesnt make sense to me though, if a better tasting product comes from NOT tapering nutrients(as they direct on their bottles)

they're not telling us to use more nutrients from the bottle because they dont want us to have great results and they dont want to sell more of their own product? thats wonky business

I try to mimik nature, my produce tastes better if I dont feed nutrients outdoors to the end of cycle, I get it from there. do what works best for you.

I'm not saying that they don't want to continue to be in business but I go by 2 things that made me say that

1 they know organic is better than the nutes they're selling because for 1 it's all over the internet they know by the time you buy nutes chances are you are a beginner rather than advanced grower

2 they give us feeding charts that could burn you're plants up so that's why I say they milk you while they can do you use nutrients??

find one food crop, one textile crop, even tobacco, that is "flushed"....you can't, because no one else on the entire planet does it. 10th generation farmers who have never done anything but farm will tell you theres no point in doing it. there is a use for leeching, if the soil gets a toxic buildup of salts they need to be washed out of the soil. thats not flushing, it isn't meant to remove anything from a plant, because you CAN'T, its meant to remove toxic salts from soil. if you haven't been over feeding like a fiend, that shouldn't be an issue.

In my country all crops are well flushed at the end of season with rain...

If one chose to eat their cannabis then you would advise tapering the nutrient supply towards the end of cycle to avoid the fertilizer taste?

I wouldn't as hard all of the plant growth. I do (even my self build soils) "push" a bit.. But tend to pay close attention to filling the plant needs for "optimal" NPK ratio's for the plant. Not very many nutrient lines, balance for that. You tend to have to use several and vary the amounts you feed vs. the given feed charts....

when 75% of the weight is dried up and the stems snap my buds taste awesome all agree.
If I jar/burp those the buds dont get better, just more degraded, darker trichomes, sleepier effect the older it gets, jarred or not.
my patients have done the "cure" and have agreed with my thoughts so far on this.
If I feed any more than I already do I taste the off shit in my bud drying the same. Perhaps I've found a sweet organic fert spot, already actually am feeding heavy, and some of my plants mature and yellow some bottom leaves with no worries?
if I jar/burp this overfed mj for some time it does get better,(curing eh?) doesnt burn my throat and is smoother.

If I feed more or to the end I get more weight. if I was commercial I'd maybe do that. I cant store weed here legally and with a perpetual harvest style, weekly deliveries, I am frikken happy my experiment results with this have turned out favorable for me.

If I feed to late harvest any of my vegetables I taste an off shit too, when I dont, I dont detect the off shit taste.


I'm gonna keep doing what I've always done cause I love the results I've always got. you should too, we are rocking it!
I use organic feeds, sometimes chicken shit, and my rabbits provide a monthly dose of wicked tea and composted turds to some buckets. no personal science involved there, scoop and water and awesome fruits here.

my next grow I will be using general organics GO box from start to finish. it will be my first foray into organics.

It says on the box itself "no need to ph" did you ph your water? I'm guessing they mean no need to ph if using distilled water.. because I put some bio bloom ,biothrive bloom and biomarine in a gallon of tap water i had sitting out overnight and my ph was 5.6... def. not 6.5 or close for my soil grow.


I have these choices (seeds I have) for my next grow.

My single harvest not too huge plants normally take 4 days in closet to get crispy out side good insides aka ready for curing. Thats really it bro. Keep temp/humidity in check and away she goes

when I ran the #18 in 2010 it was the best marijuana I ever sampled, the best for me. I loved it, but then mis labled some clones like a dumb ass and lost her a few years later. I ran 3 packs of 10 since and have yet to find anything other than the boring og.
its ok now, I found Chemdogs since, and tresdawg gear blew that 18 out of the room, but I hope you got seeds from a better breeding run.

I have a well water inside of my grow room. since I got off the bottle some years ago I retired my ph pen. I dont try new ferts or additives and only use promix with fish powder and organicare crumbles, weekly pro blend watering to 3/4 flower, little to none run off ever

Sucks I've heard from a number of people the og 18 from years past blows this new shit out of the water.. I'll wait to pop that seed as I have a friend growing out a seed out of the same batch I bought (I gave him a seed)
