It's absolutely stunning out there. Every time I go visit my family in Alberta we stay in Banff or Lake Louise for a few days. I want to buy/build a retirement house there!

I live right on the Southern Shore of Lake Superior in a Rural area, have had People form Canada Stay right in our small Harbor, and have never seen so much as a Coast Guard in the area or Immigration,
I really don't know if they had Passports or not, but these people just come straight across 90 miles and stay without any hassle. We love the Canadians here, Good People, as are most People.

They still have to apply once applications hit over 3500 there changing the rules again
They cant just hop and come over yes we have pretty lax immigration but we still have some screening process
