we got a foot of rain here at the house in one night , we didn't flood but the levees below us broke & Hwy 37 is still closed under 4 foot of water
had they not failed we'd been flooded , the creek is a football field away across the church parking lot not that far from my back fence
i can see from my kitchen window

are you expecting more of that this later this week, potentially? looks like a week straight of rain forecast. we're getting 5 days in a 6 day period down in socal

Sorry in advance @CobKits to post here my question but the thread DiY LEDs - How to Power Them is a bit "dead"!

Is it possible to use a HLG-185H-C1400B with 2 CLU-058? Is it a problem to use only ~140W on a 200W driver? I'd like to use this driver because later I plan to try 2 VERO29C without changing the driver.

One good year of rain gives us enough to fill our reservoirs and a decent snowpack to last through the summer. By August most of the snow will be gone and the reservoirs will be back down.

Unless we get year after year of rain to replenish our groundwater and we stop recklessly pumping our aquifers dry (both unlikely), the drought will continue as we continue to trend drier over time.

Anyone in CA who tells you the drought is over is likely a transplant who hasnt lived here long.

yeah any constant current driver will light em up as long as you hit about half max voltage. you'll see that voltage range lsited on the datasheet, in your case 71-143V. ive seen em light up with less. meanwell always conservative in their ranges

its actually 2 out of 3 good years for norcal and from what i hear socal is not getting any of this. there are still areas in the state listed as drought, its regional. here in the mountains, we never want for water even in the driest years

Finished building my frame for my COB setup. Going to install the COBs onto the heatsinks tomorrow, maaaaaybe wire it up, and I'll show pictures.

It's a really simple frame made from 1/8th inch thick 90 degree angle Aluminum from Home Depot.
