There are many reasons many cannabis patients choose not to buy from LP's and not all of it is tied to the current banned chemical fiasco. These clowns built their businesses on largely stolen genetics. They lobbied hard to take away my right to grow and succeeded with many others. They offer over-price product that is only sold sight unseen, and justify it by the claim of 'pharmaceutical grade'. They had recall after recall, had to irradiate to make it salable and willfully used and then hid banned substances. They are owned and staffed by some of the same politicians and cops that wanted to jail me.These guys are not to be trusted. I know there are a small number of people on here who rely on LP's...some are happy, others not so much. Your stance on not using a dispensary because they are illegal is downright strange. Who worries about that? The dispensary gets charged, not the patient. It leads me back to thinking you're an LP schill...

see here in alberta all the LPs were scared to write prescriptions and until a year ago people were traveling to other provinces to get a medical permit..see it wont be legal till 2018 recreational.. it was a long time coming here in redneck hippie alberta .

LPs don't write prescriptions and neither do doctors. The doc or a licensed health practitioner can sign a recommendation for you to become a medical cannabis patient.

A lot of paid docs run a scam to send your paperwork to whichever LP is "sponsoring" them. AKA, kickbacks.

I'm in Alberta too and finally got a doc to sign in BC last summer for no cost. He just billed my Alberta medical for two unspecified office visits. I'm not planning to file to grow tho.

I lived in Calgary from 76 - 82 then went back to BC until '01 when I moved up north here and here I'm stuck.

Planning to get back to BC in the Okanagan where my mom and sisters live. Hopefully sometime this year if I can sell my place. Wife can go wherever.
