LOL, Not practical for there size is pretty self explanatory. My wife is not gonna let me set up a large press in the living room. Its not something you have options where you can put it. The Garage is the only place I would setup that size of a press. Not all have a garage. The size of the press has nothing to do with making tasty Rosin. Believe me a counter top press can make as much rosin as a 20 ton it just takes longer. There are many 5t bench top A frame presses. The difference is how much you can squash in ea run. If your not making Rosin for sale why make large amounts to just sit around. I cant smoke an oz a week of this. If you know what your doing the quality from a 5 ton is just as good. The guys at low temp have stated.
"1000 psi is enough for optimizing yields and quality"
Nice pic lov Rosin
Ok. You mean the size is not practical for your situation. Got it. Fair enough too. If you don't have the room or your wife won't let you have anything else, a small unit like yours makes perfect sense (easier than replacing your wife
). As I said, putting that little guy on your kitchen bench sounds like a fun addition to any party. Personally, I have a spare room in my house that I've turned into a hash room. I've stocked it with a Pollen Master tumbler, 2 x H-frame benchtop presses (with Low-temp plates), a dry sift station, a microscope connected to a 24" screen, and a TLC table. It's a fun little hash lab. But, I understand that not everyone has the extra space. I also get that not everyone wants to make that kind of investment (although, all of my gear combined cost less than a single v2 Sasquash). For many, a cheap chinese knock-off like yours is going to be perfect. It sounds like a good choice. Good luck.
Are you really getting 1000psi on your presses from that unit? I'd be pleasantly surprised if that was the case, even at maximum output. Are you using rosin bags or pressing individual nugs? If rosin bags, what size?
Here's another shot of that same rosin, contining to butter up. This was probably my favourite from this year's outdoor harvest...until I got my hands on some Green Crack.
