thats basically a 9950 if you take the fan off

55W is fine that would be less than 30W of heat dissipation so a 40C temp rise

Awesome, thank you! I'm putting one in a 21"x20"x48" cabinet and at 55 watts, it will be more than enough. I just took out a cob to use elsewhere. The plant growth in there was phenomenal! I use it mostly for seedlings and young plants

Drivers 2x Mean Well HLG-185H-48B
LEDs 6x CXM22 3000K
Potentiometer 50k ohms

Does my wiring diagram here look okay?

I have a Y Splitter power adapter going into an outlet at the bottom.

Also, the potentiometer I don't believe has polarity, I would just be breaking the circuit there for it.

Will a 3 outlet Wago or Ideal connector, work for only 2 connections as well? Might just buy a 100 pack and call it a day.

finished my aircooled COB build with 9 cxm22s at 666W using an old XXXL hood from storage. this thing is a monster. gonna convert all mine over in the next month or two. no more radiant heat seeping out into the room uncontrolled. this is a heavy sumbitch!

This look better?

I'll get some 4 port Ideal Push Connectors from Home Depot to hook up the COBs.

Can I also use a 4 port connector with only 2 wires?
That looks much better.yes you can leave ports open on the wago connection i use 5 port wagos for 3 wires all the time because i have a big box of them.i always put some electrical tape over it once im done wiring

Awesome! Do you know of any free online circuit creators you're aware of? When I finish this up I want to create a more formal diagram to show noobs.

i cant figure out whats going on with your pot wiring. the driver dim leads should be ganged together and then wired across the resistance of the pot

I did this from memory at work. I'll look at the pot when I get home.

Oooo am I supposed to take an additional combined positive voltage from each driver, and attach it to the other potentiometer lead?

I have combined + and - from the DIM leads into the potentiometer, but it needs a + voltage combined i think too?

Looking at the meanwell hlg 185H-48A driver on cobkits - data spec says it's rated for 3.9A/187W, but the website says "Max current: 4.25A" and lists "3 1818@ 75.3W each (226W max) " as a potential combination. Is this just an error on the product description or am I reading the data spec wrong?

i can run my hlg185 48a at ~250w at the wall when turned all the way up. right now i am running 3 cxm22s at roughly 75w each but i can go higher or lower if i want/need to
