I've got to spend a week in Salt Lake this summer. I'll be driving from Denver (I'll be there the previous week). What chances do I have of getting some good legal buds through? Or are Utah cops scouring the interstates near the CO state line, hoping to nab people like me?
Sorry to get off topic. I certainly hope that I'm wrong about Sessions and the White House's policies on legal weed. I hope I'm wrong on Trump's election setting the legalization movement back 30 years. But I know based on southern Republicans that weed is public enemy No. 1--and need it to be illegal because of smell. With weed being illegal in the Deep South as it is, all a cop has to do to legally engaged in a search is say "I smell weed." So if it were illegal, then cops would be more limited in what they can search. and we all know how southern Republicans love cops.

well, i dont know about Utah,, but here in Oregon,, BEFORE weed was legal here,, it was legal in Washington state,, and the dispensaries on the washington Oregon border were making a killing,, owners were instant millionaires,, people were driving from portland and beyond even several hours, ,over the columbia river and picking up the max allowed in washington,, which is 1 ounce,, and driving right back,, just set your cruise control and be straight,

As a seasoned road warrior for various companies of my employ, I've developed several tried and true ways of getting things through but you need a pussy or it look all wrong, man.
When I flew from Denver last Thanksgiving back to Ft. Lauderdale, I stopped by dispensary got myself a whole bag of various concentrates. They packed it in brown paper bag and stapled. In my purse it went through TSA.
On a side note, there are Mormon shops open to the public where you can shop for your own magic underwear.
Utah fun fact: they have the most porn subscriptions per capita than any other state in the union

I use FedEx. Yup overnight or 2-day (2 days before I go) People also shop online all the time and have things delivered to their hotel as well, while staying there..they get their mail there, too. I lost my debit card and the bank overnighted me.
FedEx and hotels are completely used to this practice now..there's not a day that goes by when I'm at a hotel and the FedEx truck pulls up and delivers luggage and packages for guests that will be checking in that night or next day.
Send it in something though..don't just send the weed. Take the usual precautions make sure it's wrapped and doesn't smell. If you can put it in sealed glass that's best. I used to send my daughter box of junk clothes with small mason jar in the pocket of something sent GROUND.
Are you going to a wedding or something? There's a ton of things you can send ahead..some send their golf clubs, camera equipment, extra luggage because so many airlines limit now and cheaper to overnight it..wedding tux and shoes etc.
Sample conversation at FedEx counter if you MUST say something: 'I can't believe it's actually cheaper now to send ahead than to pay for another/overweight bag' then keep your mouth shut.
Have everything filled out insure for only $100..any more and they may wish to inspect.
Take it to a real FedEx depot not a 'Mailbox Etc' or 'Staples'.
Don't do the 'IF IT FITS ITS SHIPS' one price box no matter what the weight. They want you to present it to them unsealed.. that's one of the catches for one price.
UPS and FedEx care about two things only: time and revenue.

Folks have been growing weed under the radar well before States even thought about legalization. And they will continue to do so regardless of Federal and State laws.
It would be nice however; to stay on the path of legalization across the board but that has always been a pipe dream. Time will tell.

I've shipped a lot of items using those "if it fits it ships" packs at the usps. I've never been asked to have it open before sending. Usually it's a care package to one of my kids at college; benign and legal but could look suspicious on an x-ray or under a shake test. Never had an issue.
Also I've received seeds before in these packs. I wouldn't ship flower, but the assertion that you have to present it to them open isn't something I've ever seen in practice.
