Well I'm in europe, and never used hortilux...

I edited previous post ..

here is an example of some good HPS bulbs on a Lumatec digital ballast ...quickly crunching numbers ...

664W@wall and 1222 PPF ... that's :
- ~10% more photons/W (plug) than your light.
- at around 1/3 of the price.
- light output within same range (3% difference ?), but 90W less total dissipation.
If you look at gavitas DE 750w 1500ppf 550$ or 1000w 2100ppf for 680$...

I think you will find there is others that beat him to that spot tbh...
Just about every goddamn sponsor in this mofo, two years of stale and counting......then you have every goddamn hanger on. My qb is the best after 1 run, my citizens are better than the rest....etc etc....
In fact, I wouldn't have a problem with all the manufactures banned from posting...They think an open forum is the easiest way to run their business...Fucking hacks I tell yah....

Go on.
Don't like it, don't read it.
So to recap: Your opion is that I shouldn't have an opinion?

I agree, shouldn't you follow your own advice. Which part did you not like? Why sensor it all, rather than identify your claim? Too close to the fire?

Contexualize what you can't see.
All I need to know are PPFD comparisons. It seems the larger "diodes"/emitters of the COBs, which were invented to replace HPS in factory highbay/lowbay applications and should thus be considered its equivalent or dare I say successor, will contribute to better PPFD emission than the diodes invented to tell you that a TV or gaming console is "on."

Will that suffice?

Furthermore, panels are made from diodes that follow a build prior to popular understanding of PPFD, i.e. Back when people relied on lumens as a measurement in this field. Quantum Boards are more in line with growing, essentially suped-up/tightened up panel LEDs. You can't compare, say, a gen 1 Mars panel to a current market QB, i.e. with Samsung parts.

And if you don't appreciate my conceptualization of it, I'm sorry if it offends you, or if this is not in accordance with your idea of popular conception. Since it's all just concepts anyway.

Olive drab, you would have to been longer than a year or whatever it is to get the statement. You didn't mention a few...

MY point is that these forums are lame and use to be very open source and you would be taught how to build a light, from math. Now just about all of that is extinguished....case in point, can you, step by step, tell me how to go from raw lumens to PPF to PPFD and digitize a spectrum as well, I do, so that isn't what this is about....again....thanks for commenting, but i still dont find it relevant. :peace:

Fellow vet here too, before you really piss me off.
