Issues with my young girls

Hey everyone, nee to the board here. Was hoping to get some info on whats happening with my plants. They are 2 weeks old now started from seeds ( 9 different strains) and the leaves are looking twisted and deformed with some small brown spots and discoloration on the leaves. They are growing in miracle grow soil under 4 fluorescent plant tubes. First set of leaves to sprout started to curl under and now im seeing it on the other leaves with the discoloration and tiny brown spots. From what i have read here already it sounds like either a ph issues or a nutes deficiency. I am heading out this morn to pick up a ph meter to check the water/soil run off. Just wanted to hear some advice from the experienced if i am at least on the right track with thinking its a ph issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated folks. Still new at this and wanted to correct the problem before it turns into a mess. Thanks so much for any help with this !IMG_3902.JPGIMG_3903.JPG

miracle grow is over feeding them
i'd put them into larger pots of pro mix and feed an organic source of nutrient line

those two bottom leaves often die off. some rush to correct them somehow, I've seen big problems arise from doing so. I'd cut them off carefully and carry on. they look great to me otherwise. good job! miracle grow is tough for me with seedlings or new clones but you've done pretty well.

Those wavy edges indicate a pH issue. I'm not a fan of Miracle Grow, so I would transplant asap into a good organic amended soil (Promix/Sunshine, EWC, and some perlite)
Be sure to use a good water source as well. I'd also pick up a simple, all in one, complete nutrient feed.

And Grandpapy is right, that's a lot of strains to keep up with, and for that reason you're going to want to keep this as simple as possible until you familiarize yourself with their particular needs. Some feed light, some seem always hungry.

If you can, keep notes. I'm terrible at this but getting better.

Did you plan on taking clones as well?

Thanks for the help guys. Didnt even think about the soil over feeding them. Going to go get a bail of pro mix and move them to bigger pots to see if that helps. Still add the organic nutes or plain water till they bounce back? Id be happy if half survived. Lol

Do you have several seedlings of 9 different strains, or just 9 fem seedlings? I ask because with regs its a LOT to keep track of with sexing and labeling. Maybe stagger their veg times if you can.

Good luck. You'll find tons in valuable info here from seasoned growers.

Curious what your pH is. If can update after you pick up your meter that would be great.

Ok. Got the meter... ph was way high. 7.4. Got some ph down and got it to 6.57. What would be optimal for this situation? 6.5? Little lower? Also got some pro mix and an organic fertilizer and some larger pots

That is a variegated plant. Kinda rare too! That is a natural genetic variable. @vostok If I remember right. Mr. V here is looking to get a real variegated clone for a breeding project? Here's 1 V.....

Anyway, that is basically not a problem. Enjoy it, and be sure to keep that running in clones (If of course the potency is a keeper)

"Variegation is the appearance of differently coloured zones in the leaves, and sometimes the stems, of plants. Variegated leaves occur rarely in nature." WIKI

Your plants are looking good sir.

While soil self pH's..You may want to keep the pH of all in-going to 6.5 in veg and 6.7 in bloom (after the first 2 weeks)......This would be if you need to down the road...

Enjoy your variegated plant!

I heard that soil with time-released fertilizer will mess up cannabis
The real skinny on that soil....Is that the formulation of the nutrients is not right for cannabis. Scotts (MG) is specifically made to not run cannabis well.....Direct statement from a Scott's executive!

Shitty micro levels and the Ca/Mg is way off...

I use time release Organicare fertilizer with great success
Any 'time release' is crap.

tho the salts of the dominant mineral do leach out at the 'correct' time

what that dominant fert is ...is anyone's guess

imo: best to avoid the whole scene and get salt 'free'

great for chilles for potatoes BAD..!!! for weed

as a plus it gives you the grower much better control over the feeding of ur babes

good luck

did you read the link? its compressed composted poop, no basal salts in the organic mix.
check it out, a little bag is 10 bucks, I love their line, wont change it, no issues.
