Lots of Bad Symptoms, Uncertain of Core Problem

These two plants were cuttings taken from their mother plant sometime in early/mid-February. They sat in water for a few weeks until they showed roots, and in early April, they moved into a soil-based mix (soil + perlite + v. small portion of vermicast). They live in a space bucket (similar to this) and receive light from 5 high-output CFL bulbs, with temps averaging about 27-29°C. They're mostly just getting de-chlorinated water, pH'd down between 6.1-6.3, though in the past few weeks I've given them each a few very light feedings (~15% strength starter mix of GH's Organic line)

As you can see in the photos, these girls don't look so hot. Leaves are thin and curling down which suggests possible over-watering to me (though I've also wondered if cold-shock might be partly culpable for this). Leaves are yellowing and showing purple splotches (not sure if this constitutes 'banding') and growth in general has been very, very slow.

Every few days a lower leaf or two will have discolored entirely, and they come loose from the plant without much effort. Generally, discoloration is affecting lower leaves first, but leaves near the tops of the plants are also showing some purple/reddish edging.

Thanks in advance for any advice or wisdom that this community might have to share! The mother plant produced some of the best bud I've tasted in my life, so I'm eager to keep the genes alive in these two babies!

Plant 1:

This was a "monster-crop" cutting. Was taken from mother plant during early flowering, leading to an extra-bushy veg for the cutting

A clear look at some discoloration issues

Plant 2:

Notice that even the healthier-looking leaves are dark/purple along their edges

And this is what she looked like on March 1... pretty drastic thinning-out since then

Feed them! Starving!
Time for full strength feeding!
Doc, that is exactly what my deepest secret hope has been! When I recognized that the yellowing is, for the most part, starting at the bottom of the plants and working its way up, I suspected N deficiency, but I've been hesitant to increase feeds out of fear that those purple-tipped leaves could be early signs of nute burn.

They both took a watering yesterday so they'll need a bit to dry out, but I'll give a stronger-strength 'grow' feeding ASAP and will report back with updates.

You needed to feed them as soon as you put them in pots. Severely nute deficient mainly N, feed them full str veg nutes asap or disease will set in.

I would say go for an ec of 1. Don't over do it. Vitamin B and or kelp plus humic acid and amino acids are your friends here. When these get going again take a really good clone off of it and start with that , these particular plants will always be slow and shitty.

Thanks for the ongoing feedback gang, I really earnestly appreciate it.

The plants took another full-strength feeding yesterday and are looking stronger since OP. New growth is appropriately vibrant, although, as Reefersaurus suggested, still quite slow (I will definitely be taking the above advice about treating these two as mother plants).

This was the first time I've used those expanding coco-coir pellets for cuttings, and think they may be somewhat culpable for the difficulties I've been having. As I understand it, the medium just doesn't retain nutrients the way that I'm used to with soil, so they've gone under-fed. In addition to the regular feeding last week, I also gave Plant Two a small top-dressing of vermicast, which seems to have been appreciated, so I plan to do the same for Plant One.

One big question:
should those desaturated/purple/brown lower leaves be plucked? Do they provide anything for the plant, or do they just distract energy from more important causes?

Ok wait, no, two big questions:
Responding to the deficiencies, should these girls be ramped up from a water-water-feed schedule to a water-feed schedule?

You can pull any leaves that are more than 50% gone. But go very light on nutes and wait till the pot is dry and light to water again. The roots need time to re grow and you will see new leaves emerge as they do.

85% strength is likely 2x too much for this sick plant.

I don't use that strong of fertilizer with flowering bushes.

Id recommend starting over..there is a good chance they are going to have some lifelong stress..imho a good grower could bring this back no problem. If you let them get to this point ..umm yeah.
Cannabis friendly soil, dont overwater and you are golden till next repot, then on till flower and then the nutrients start. You can do it!
