Sweet is a derivative of Lebanon Bologna. Smeltzer's sells Lebanon Sweet Bologna. Smeltzer? Seltzer? Something like that. I love that, too. Both are cured and slightly fermented, hence that tang you get from it.

i order it from their website once a year. put it in the freezer and pop open a pack every now and again.

i've had a few friends etc that you get to tallking about leb bologna and they say yeah, it's pretty good and then i bust out a pack of the sweet kind and they go holy shit this is excellent.

We used to get both straight from a country store deli when I was a kid in the '90s and everything was still fucking awesome. Good times.. Wish it were perpetually the '90s, really.
