I'm just thinking that yeah, you confront a guy who pulls a knife. First guy gets stabbed straight off. Did the other two just watch and wait their turn? Did none of them consider bum rushing? Was the guy trained in Krav Maga? Too bad nobody was concealed carrying. Even without a firearm, wth?

Not blaming the guys that got stabbed. Just questioning how the hell they got bested by one guy with a blade. They were valiant to try to stop him but really? I understand that they were likely to get stuck but it is evident that they weren't aware of the possibility or this guy has some serious pick sticking skills.

He spent a lot of time in prison, apparently thinking about how to kill somebody. Just average Joes on a subway ride ran into a murderer. Crowded train, confusion, out of the blue and a determined killer. It's fucked up is what it is. I haven't read up on the details and don't really want to.
We have a real pot boiler coming up this weekend in Portland. On the heels of this racially motivated multiple murder, white supremacists are planning to hold a rally in Portland followed by an anti Muslim parade. The mayor of Portland has quite reasonably requested the permits for these demonstrations be pulled for the sake of safety.

It's not a boxing match or a movie. This is real. There can be another time for a wing nut rally but not right now. Families and communities would be better served if they can just be allowed to lay the dead to rest. The white hate groups will not be harmed by a delay in the date.
